I saw it. The expression on his face, the slight knitting of his brows—he was stunned at the same time and his face changed from surprised to repulsed. Vand was disgusted.
That was how I interpreted his silence.
It was the first time I saw an alpha felt repulsed with my touch. It felt like cold water was splashed on me, making my body tremble in shame and inferiority. Maybe I am filthy. Maybe my family spoiled me so much that I thought highly of myself.
Maybe I was just deluded and confident, but in reality, I was nothing.
I took the hand that was in Vand's face, and with a faint smile, I pushed him away. "I'm going to sleep."
It was to save my face. I should not have called him over to tease him. I felt so bad now that I wanted to scream. He stood on the corner of the bed for a while, and like a robot, he said, "Goodnight." He left with soundless steps.
I can only blame myself for being immature, for admiring Vand, and for showing him the opposite of what I felt. That night was long and annoying.
The next day came, and I passed by the security room. I was curious as to who dared to hurt me again. "Morning, Chief Zlato." Coincidentally, my brother Silver was there talking to the chief. It was reasonable, as my second brother was in charge of the security while my eldest brother was helping my father in the company.
My sole purpose in living was to spend their money.
"Good morning, third young master." Chief Zlato was serious about his work. He was single at the age of thirty-one, An alpha who does not have an omega at this age is said to be gay, but I think Chief Zlato does not have time to get an omega.
After all, he was already busy with the work in our family. If I am his omega, I will feel bad for getting less attention. I mean, don't we all want attention from our alpha? My eyes moved to Vand, who was standing next to me. I was again reminded of what happened last night.
I guess I should stop teasing him, lest it bite me again.
"What brought you here this early, dear brother?" My brother Silver was hovering over me, fixing my clothes and hair. He was such a bro-con, and he was not shy to show it. Glad his bro-con feels lessened to this day.
"Did you have your breakfast?"
"I'm fine, brother. I want to ask the Chief," my brother's hand paused, and I think he knew what I wanted to ask, "about yesterday."
Chief Zlato glanced at my brother, seeming to wait for his approval, but my brother shook his head and said, "Vand, take Caesium out. This problem should not concern you." That's what he said, but which part of it did not concern me?
I was the one being chased three times! The suppressant researched was because of me, so how am I not involved?
"It concerns me, Silver," I said, my eyes turning dark. I was always the innocent and cute little brother, but I was also a twenty-four-year-old male Omega who needed to defend himself sooner or later.
Even if I keep the act of a weak little brother, I still have the right to know things like this so I can prepare for any other danger that comes in the future. I can't always depend on my brothers.
"Haa. It is, but we will solve it; you just have to live your life, okay?"
I love Silver, Hydro, and Father, but these three people should realize that too much love and pampering will only lead to my early death. If this chasing continues and there is no one to protect me, should I just wait for my death?
"If you don't want to tell me then, I have other means." It was neither a threat nor a childish remark. I have other ways, and I can make that loser pay for his chasing. "Good day, brother."
I left the security room without waiting for my brother to say anything. Vand was following me silently. I can't even feel that he was there. "You are excused for today; no need to follow me."
I walked towards my room without minding whether he agreed or not. I don't care; I was embarrassed, and he was the least that I wanted to see today. Besides, if Vand followed me, I would not be able to do what I must do.
Closing the door, I quickly opened my bag to get the laptop hidden inside. This was the laptop I used to communicate with my employer; this one can't be tracked. I also have a phone and a watch, but laptops are easier to use when getting pieces of information.
When I studied in London, I met my best friend, Novy, an omega, who at some point was the brother of a famous assassin group leader. Crazy, right?
I did not believe it at first either, but Novy brought me to one of his missions, and then I believed him. Who wouldn't when you were facing an omega with blood on his face after killing a big wig? Anyone would, okay?!
Novy introduced me to the group, leaving me no choice because I already saw his face. One more reason I became one was that Novy looked so cool when he was holding a gun; his stance, the level of his hand, and his eyes looked murderously seductive.
I remember that I looked like an ugly potato when Silver was teaching me, and I was so spoiled before that I could whine at Silver whenever I didn't feel like practicing. But when I joined the group, the desire in my heart to learn heightened. It was something that I worked hard for. Something only I achieved
We became blood brothers after that. I was an assassin for two years, with little mission given to me.
The boss seemed to not trust me yet and thought I was not ready for big missions, but that was okay. I am not aiming to be the best assassin; I still want a peaceful life, raising children with my alpha while I bathe under the sun, though I must admit, I still have to accept that I will bear children.
This was also one of the reasons why I failed most of the subjects. Training at that time caused me death; holding a gun took me time to familiarize myself, and let me remind you, I was pampered since birth, so my bones were a little stiff and my skin was so soft it would bleed with a gentle touch. Martial arts were exhausting, but I soon survived them.
Now, I wanted to see who dared to mess with me. The guts of that person to let his people shoot guns at me!
#1: [Name: Azul Van Ale, alpha, 27]
See, I got the information I needed. Luma, Novy's brother, had all the information stored in the database. Novy helped me with it because I can't let Luma know or he will kill me! That beta bastard was unsociable, always hiding in the data room.
#1: [When?]
Novy was sending me a message asking when I would visit the alpha that was after me. That plate number was a great help in finding the people who followed us, and those people were enough to locate the mastermind.
CS: [Tonight.]
#1: [Okay. Coming.]
CS: [Fine by myself.]
#1: [COMING!]
CS: [Okay.]
#1: [Black Tuxedo. 5th floor. AU Hotel. 8 PM]
Well, that was it. A mission was set. I don't know if this Azul will die tonight or will only be tortured. I'm not sure yet, but if Novy were there, maybe he would die.
Novy took care of the other two before saying he would avenge me. The first two were not killed but tortured, and it caused a huge blockage for Silver, who was looking for the culprit as well. It was a pity that Luma worked faster than Silver, and Novy acted immediately compared to Chief Zlato.
Seeing Silver's face that day, I felt guilty, but I can't say that I know the people behind the quick action. They still have a lot to work on, I guess.
Knock! Knock!
"Master, may I come in?"
