first person pov— zeldris

After Meliodas slaughtered Fraudrin, he made no move to help the others who were fighting against the regime of demons hellbent on worldwide invasion. Which confused me. I thought his whole shtick was being the good guy now. That traitor didn't even greet his comrades after his near death experience. What changed suddenly?

The rest of the commandments, those who still listen to me anyways, were in the neighboring villages saving the humans from those mindless red and grey demons.

It shouldn't be to much of a hassle for them and it's a great way for them to exert their internal anger and frustrations.. by killing lowly demons who dare attack those of the Ten Commandments.

Even with my team rescuing humans, Meliodas didn't seem to want to help them. Instead, after hearing Estarossa had escaped and had sealed his aura, Meliodas returned to the cave Salina rested in and stayed by her side for the remainder of the day.

Walking into said cave, with the others out helping the humans, it was just me and my older brother. "We both should be out there offering our assistance." I suggested, while his gaze remained on Salina's corpse.

Meliodas stared emotionlessly on Salina, "What would be the point of that.. she's no longer part of my life so the entire world should burn because of it." He said simply, as if talking about the weather.

I narrowed my eyes, walking up towards the other side of Salina, gently holding her hand, "That wouldn't be what Salina wanted. She'd want you to fight for humanity's survival, as much as it pains me to say such a sentence." I spoke firmly toward him.

He gritted his teeth with a grunt, slamming his hand beside Salina on the slab of stone she laid upon, causing a loud bang to echo through the cave, "She's dead! Gone, Zeldris!!" He shouted at me, causing me to furrow my brows.

I refused to believe his words. I know for a fact Salina was gifted immortality..

However, Meliodas seemed to believe his own words as he explained why, "It wouldn't take her this long to reach her body. She should be awake by now." I shook my head, "No, she has immortality, such as yourself."

I fought the idea that Salina was truly dead.

Meliodas let out a frustrated groan, "Exactly! Such as myself! I know this curse, I know how it works after three thousand years! She should be awake! But she's not! Which could only mean that she's gone..." Meliodas loud voice faded near the end of his sentence. My heart rate picked up, something I felt as my brother continued,
