Salina was sat in front of a bonfire, roasting some food she managed to find.
The rest of the group was unconscious around the fire, keeping them warm. They had been knocked out from the Demon King's forceful and impactful blow. Salina had to recollect them all and eventually found a space for them to camp in while they recuperated.
Zeldris was the first to regain consciousness. "Salina? Are you okay?" He immediately asks, blinking away his hazy state. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just had to get you guys out of there before your father decided to kill us there and then." She sighed, rubbing her forehead.
Zeldris felt ashamed after she said that, lowering his head, "That was humiliating how easy it was for him. Goes to show how weak we are when compared to him." Salina turned her head to him, noticing his downcast eyes and crestfallen expression. She shuffled closer to the raven haired prince, her shoulder touching his. "He is the demon king for a reason, Zel. No one said it'll be easy, but it isn't impossible either." She tried cheering him up.
He raised his gaze to her silver eyes, nearly getting lost in them.
"You do realize there was a point in time where your father wasn't a demon king? Just like everyone else, he had to earn his power and train for his strength. It may not be today, but you will be stronger than him, I have no doubt in that." Salina whispered, inadvertently making Zeldris' pulse race.
Salina looked down at his hand, grabbing it and sandwiching it into her own two hands, "I have complete faith in you, Zeldris. In us." She told him, staring up into his emerald green eyes again.
Zeldris' eyes fell down to her lips. He started to lean in close when Meliodas' yawning awake made them pull back a little. Although, she stayed in her spot beside the boy, opting to lean her head against his shoulder with their hands still clasped in each others.
"Well, that wasn't fun at all." Meliodas yawned, rubbing his eyes as Ban and Wild awoke soon after. "Ooh! What's that smell!" Wild asked, already drooling. "Let's just say I had some time on my hands while you boys were napping." Salina shrugged.
"You cooked all this??" Wild squealed, seeing the giant creature Salina killed and perfectly cooked for them. The large creature was already chopped up into pieces for the boys to eat, all prepared and ready. It surely smelled delectable. "Thank you, Salina!" Wild, Ban, and Meliodas shouted as they started eating, Zeldris said it too, only he spoke with his same monotone-ed voice. "It was no problem, hope you all enjoy." Salina waved dismissively as they all started eating together.
