third person pov— meliodas
Zaneri and the other Druids had welcomed Meliodas and the sins to their holy land. Having already known what they were there for, they got straight to business.
In order for Meliodas to get his remaining power back, he is going to have to go through a trial. The result will depend if he even gets his powers.
Zaneri warned it would be painful and difficult. But the blonde captain was not prepared for what's to come.
The brown haired Druid girl had raised her arms, mystical white particles surrounding her being as she chanted her spell. A glowing circle entrapped Meliodas until the blonde had passed out.
Peeling his eyes open, it took Meliodas a second to realize where he was: Danafor.
Meliodas had to come to terms with the events that took place there. Having seen his best friend, Liz —a different version of Elizabeth— die. After some painful trial and error, he finally passed it.
However, he wasn't done yet.
Once he accepted Liz's death, and controlled his anger. Darkness encased his vision for the second time. However, this time, when he opened his eyes again, he found himself in the demon realm.
He shook his head, blinking multiple times to see if it was even real. He had no idea why the Druids were making him see his homeworld. Or how they even knew where it was to begin with.
"Meliodas!" That angelically sweet voice he oh so loved had echoed in his ears. Before he could even look toward its origin, he gasped upon being attacked into a tight embrace. Pulling back, he was met with a younger Salina.
She was breathless, looking over her shoulder for a second then turning back toward the stunned blonde. "Zeldris is after me!" She gave Meliodas context. But she didn't need to, because he remembered this memory.
Looking passed her, he sees his younger black-haired brother running toward them. Salina squealed as she ran behind Meliodas, using the blonde as a shield. Teenage versions of Zeldris and Salina were running circles around the blonde until Meliodas pushed Zeldris back.
Young Zeldris scoffed toward him, "Whoa! Calm down big brother. We're just messing around. Plus, we've already completed our training for the day." He justified their actions. Which only reminded Meliodas of how he used to be back them. And those days weren't completely happy ones.
