Chapter 14 Boxing Day pt2 and 27th

Shawn and I headed back to Amanda's from the cafe together to pick up the twins. When we arrived at Amanda's, we found her and the twins in the lounge, watching the movie 'Finding Nemo'. "Hey, Amanda, Shawn and I are here to take the twins out for dinner." I left Shawn in the lounge with Amanda while I took the twins to their bedroom to get them dressed. I helped them pick out their outfits, and then we headed back to the lounge where Shawn and Amanda were waiting.

Shawn and Amanda saw the twins and exclaimed, "Oh, they look so cute". We all said our goodbyes and headed out for dinner. This was the twins' first time at a restaurant, so Shawn was excited to share this new experience with them. I couldn't help but laugh at Shawn's enthusiasm; he was like a kid in a candy store. He was so excited to show the twins the restaurant and all that it had to offer. He was practically bouncing with energy as he walked the twins to the car and strapped them in.

I could tell that he was going to be a great dad. On the way to the restaurant, one of Shawn's songs came on the radio. Lizzie started bouncing in her car seat, yelling, "It's Daddy's song!" Shawn and I laughed at Lizzie's excitement, and he smiled in the review mirror at her and said, "That's right, Lizzie, it's Daddy's song." He then proceeded to sing along to the song, and Lizzie sang along too. It was a magical moment, and I could tell that Shawn was really enjoying it.

He was so proud to have his daughter recognise and sing along to his song. It was a moment that he would never forget. Once the song was over, I said, "I have told them about you and played them your music." Shawn smiled, obviously touched by my words, and said, "It means a lot to me that you've done that for them." I nodded and smiled back. When we got to the restaurant, Shawn got out and opened my door before opening the back and getting Phillip out of his car seat.

I then got Lizzie out and handed her to Shawn. He held her close as he walked us to the restaurant entrance. As we were about to enter the restaurant, one of Shawn's fans spotted him and ran over to him. "Oh my gosh, Shawn! Can I have a selfie with you?" They asked excitedly. Shawn smiled and agreed. He went to hand me, Lizzie and Phillip. "Could your twins be in it, too?" The fangirl asked excitedly. Shawn smiled and agreed after looking at me, and I nodded yes.

Shawn took the fangirl's phone and took a selfie with the twins, the fangirl and himself. The girl was ecstatic to be in a picture with Shawn and the twins. After the selfie was taken, She even asked if she could post it on her social media page, and Shawn agreed. He then thanked her for being a fan and for her support. The fangirl thanked him and then went on her way. He then turned to the twins and said, "Let's go get some dinner!" The twins cheered, and we all entered the restaurant.

Once we were seated, Shawn and I were opposite each other, and the twins in their high chairs were to either side of us. We ordered our meals; Shawn ordered spaghetti and meatballs without tomatoes, and the twins got a small pizza and chips. I ordered the lasagna with a fresh garden salad.

While we waited for our meals to arrive, a few more of Shawn's fans noticed him and ran over to him. They asked for pictures with him, and Shawn agreed to each request. He posed with them for selfies and group pictures, and each fan was thrilled to be able to take a picture with him. After the last photo was taken, Shawn thanked them for their support, and they thanked him in return before leaving. My phone went off, telling me there was a new Twitter notification.

I took out my phone to check the notification and saw that it was a picture of Shawn, the twins, and a few of his fans. I clicked on the tweet and saw that it was the same fan who had asked for a selfie with Shawn outside the restaurant. She had posted the picture with the caption, "Had the best time with @Shawnmendes and his twins! #biggestfan #soblessed". I smiled at the post and showed it to Shawn, who was equally pleased.
