Cassie POV January

When I opened my eyes, I realized I was completely naked and curled up next to Shawn. It all came rushing back to me—the wild night we had celebrating New Year's Eve at the club with Amanda. I remembered how she vanished with some random guy, leaving Shawn and me to fend for ourselves. There were so many fans snapping pictures of Shawn, and we were just caught up in the moment, drinking and dancing like there was no tomorrow. The ride home was a blur of excitement and tension, where we almost crossed a line in the backseat.

Once we got home, Shawn carried me upstairs, and that's when things really heated up. The chemistry between us was undeniable, and it felt like the perfect way to ring in the new year. We were lost in our own world, forgetting everything else around us. The way he looked at me made my heart race, and I could feel the electricity in the air as we finally gave in to our desires. It was a passionate moment that felt both thrilling and intimate.

As I lay there, wrapped up in the warmth of the blankets and Shawn's presence, I couldn't help but smile at the whirlwind of emotions from the night before. It was a mix of fun, spontaneity, and a little bit of chaos, but it all led to this moment. I felt a sense of comfort with him. The night had been a rollercoaster, but waking up next to him made it all worth it, and I couldn't wait to see what the day would bring.

I bent down and planted a soft kiss on Shawn's chest before I got up to hop in the shower and wash away the lingering scent of our night together. As I glanced at the clock, I was taken aback to see it was almost 10 AM. It hit me just how late we had slept in, and I couldn't help but marvel at the fact that the twins hadn't barged in to wake me up yet.

After a speedy 20-minute shower, I threw on some comfy leggings and a T-shirt, feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day. I made my way downstairs, the smell of something delicious wafting through the air. As I entered the kitchen, I spotted Karen busy at the counter, brewing a fresh pot of coffee that was sure to kickstart the morning.

"Good morning, Karen!" I called out, my voice cheerful as I approached her. But then I realized I hadn't seen Manny or the kids yet, and curiosity got the better of me. "Hey, do you know where Manny and the kids are?" I asked, genuinely curious.

Karen grinned as she said, "Manny and the twins are out there having a blast in the snow. I had to intervene earlier when they tried to barge into your room around 8 this morning. Those little rascals are quite the handful, and they're only three years old!" Her laughter was infectious, and I couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of their playful antics.

I nodded in agreement, picturing the scene of the twins bundled up in their colourful winter gear, probably throwing snowballs and giggling uncontrollably. It was hard to believe how much energy those little ones had, especially at such a young age. I decided it was time to treat myself to a warm cup of coffee to kickstart my day.

I poured myself a steaming mug of coffee, savouring the rich aroma that filled the air, and made my way to the back patio. The sight of the snow-covered yard was enchanting, with Manny and the twins frolicking in the white blanket, their laughter ringing out like music. It was a perfect winter morning.

As I stood on the patio, enjoying my coffee and taking in the sight of Manny playing with the twins, I suddenly felt a pair of arms encircle my waist, pulling me back into a warm embrace. It was Shawn, and he greeted me with a cheerful, "Good morning, beautiful! How are you feeling today?" His hug was comforting, and I leaned back into him, feeling the warmth radiate from his body.

"I'm doing well, just enjoying the view of our kids having fun with your dad," I replied, glancing over at the lively scene unfolding in front of us. Shawn chuckled softly, clearly amused by the antics of the little ones. He then took a deep breath, inhaling the aroma of my coffee, and remarked, "Mmm, that coffee smells amazing."
