Chapter 22: Cassie's POV, December 30th

Cassie's Perspective 30th December

Waking up in Shawn's arms, I felt so safe and secure nestled in his warm embrace. His strong arms were holding me close, and I felt a sense of comfort knowing that he was here with me. I could feel his steady heartbeat and smell his musky scent. I felt a deep sense of love and connection with him that I had never experienced before. I breathed in the moment and savoured it. I did not want to get up, but knew we had to.

When we got to the kitchen and saw Kate, Harry and Aaliyah sitting on the floor, playing with the twins and Shawn's parents, William, Prince Phillip and Queen Elizabeth, sitting at the table, I had to smile. It was so wonderful to see everyone gathered together and enjoying each other's company.

"Good morning, everyone," I said as the twins hugged Shawn and me. "How are you all this morning?" Shawn's parents, Kate and Harry, all smiled and gave each other a knowing look.

Aaliyah giggled, and the twins babbled in response. The Queen nodded her head in approval as Shawn wrapped his arm around my waist. I blushed and looked down shyly before saying, "I am going to make something to eat. Is anyone else hungry?" Everyone nodded in agreement, and Aaliyah said, "I'm starving!" I laughed and began to prepare breakfast for everyone. It felt wonderful to be surrounded by my family and friends.

Stepping calmly out of Shawn's arms, I slowly made my way inside the kitchen. Entering the kitchen, I began to prepare a full English breakfast for everyone. I started to fry up some bacon, sausages, and eggs.

Aaliyah came into the kitchen and asked, "Would you like some help?" I nodded and got her to cut up some tomatoes and mushrooms and fry them in a pan. I placed the cooked bacon, sausages, and eggs on a plate and served them with the fried tomatoes and mushrooms. I also made some toast with butter and jam. I also made pancakes and French toast for the twins. I made some jam sandwiches cut into penny sizes and shaped them into little circles. I then topped them with a dollop of whipped cream just for Grandmother, as I knew they were her favorites.

Finally, I brewed a pot of tea and a pot of coffee for those who wanted a stronger beverage. And put some orange juice on the table. After a few minutes, the delicious aroma of the full English breakfast filled the kitchen. When everything was ready, I called everyone to the table, and we all enjoyed breakfast together. We talked and laughed as we ate, and the warmth of the moment filled the kitchen. It was a wonderful morning.

Queen Elizabeth stood up and said, "Cassandra, Phillip, and I would like to talk to you and Shawn in the study, if that's alright." I nodded, and Shawn and I followed them into the study. Once we were seated, the queen began to speak. "We wanted to talk to you two about something important. We hope you will listen carefully."

"Firstly, after what happened last night, I want you to remember to always take your bodyguards with you. No matter where you are going or what you are doing, it's important to ensure you are always safe. Your bodyguards are there to protect you, and we want you to take advantage of that." Queen Elizabeth said:

"Also, I want you to always be aware of your surroundings. Be alert and aware of potential dangers, and stay vigilant. I want you to trust and rely on your bodyguards for help when needed. Furthermore, report any suspicious activity to your bodyguards; it is important to trust our gut instincts and to listen to our intuition. Don't take unnecessary risks or put yourself in danger. We trust you to make responsible decisions." The Queen concluded.

I responded with a nod, "Yes, Your Majesty. We understand, and we will do as you say. We will make sure to take our bodyguards with us and stay alert and aware of our surroundings. We will not take unnecessary risks and will report any suspicious activity to our bodyguards."
