Chapter 17: october cherubs

It was a normal day in October, and that meant max and the others were getting pumpkins to make into jack o lanterns at Walmart and were looking for the good ones.
"So, do you think that this pumpkin is pretty good?" Asked max, holding a pumpkin that was of good quality for carving.
"Yes, that'll be great." Said Charlie, who was holding a pumpkin of her own to carve.
Pretty soon, after vaggie and alastor also got good quality pumpkins, they then went back to Charlie's car and went to the hotel with a bunch of pumpkins.
Little did they know, that they were secretly being stalked by c.h.e.r.u.b, who were looking on as Charlie's car drove off.
"Alright, so that was the kid from hell's news interview." Said Cletus, looking through a pair of binoculars.
"are you sure, cletus?" Asked keenie, who was next to Cletus.
"Positive, he's even with the princess of hell and her employees." Said Cletus.
"You think we should be careful?" Asked Collin cautiously.
"Yes, considering what we just saw." Said Cletus, with keenie nodding in agreement.
"Well, we should just follow them and see what they do." Said cletus, putting his binoculars away from his eyes.
And so, the three cherubs followed the car as it was driving to max's house and the hotel.
At max's house, max and the others had all the pumpkins on tables with newspapers on it so the pumpkin pulp won't cause a mess.
"Alright, we've got plenty of pumpkins to make jack o lanterns out of, and I've also got a carving kit if we need it." Said max, clapping his hands.
" this'll be fun, I wonder what everyone else's pumpkins will be." Said Charlie.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door, to which max opened and saw c.h.e.r.u.b right in front of him, to which he stared at them in confusion.
"Hello" said Cletus, with Collin and keenie next to him.
Max stared on, not knowing what to say, until he had a brain fart and muttered " do you have any fruit to declare?"
"What?" Said Cletus, bewildered at what max said.
"Don't ask, I had a brain fart, anyway how can I help you?" Said max, his eyelids half lowered.
"Well, we'd like to ask you some questions." Asked keenie.
"If that's the case, come in." Said max, inviting the cherubs into the hotel.
As max showed the cherubs around the hotel, he did have one question to ask them.
"So, why are you three here?" Asked max " I mean, the episode that you were in had you kicked out of heaven."
"Please don't remind us," said Cletus, "but it turns out the Lyle Lipton thing was a mess up the whole time, so the banishment was rescinded and we could go back to heaven under one condition."
"And what would that be, man?" Asked max, sounding like the dude for a second.
"Reporting what you all do to heaven." Said Cletus
"Alright, we were about to make jack o lanterns for October." Said max, walking to the table that had the pumpkins on it.
And then, max grabbed the pumpkin carving kit and used it to turn the pumpkin into a smiling jack o lantern.
"Ta da!" Exclaimed max, " we now have a happy pumpkin!"
Max was sporting a goofy smile while he showed the jack o lantern, showing he was into the spirit of the Halloween season.
"Wow, that looks amazing." Said Charlie, gleaming with happiness.
"Thanks," said max, " it's something simple to start with."
Pretty soon, the rest of the hazbins made their own jack o lanterns with various faces on them, and everyone had a fun time.
"Now that the pumpkins have been carved, we're supposed to put a candle inside them to make the face light up." Said max.
"I have a better idea." Said angel dust who carved a hole in the bottom of his jack o lantern.
Using the hole he carved in the pumpkins bottom, Angel dust slid the pumpkin onto his head, creating a jack o lantern mask out of his pumpkin.
"Good idea." Said max, who began to laugh at a pumpkin headed angel dust.
"Thanks." Said angel dust, who was also laughing at his funny idea.
Unfortunately, when angel dust tried to take the pumpkin off, and his head got stuck in it.
"Shit!" Exclaimed angel dust, " this was a bad idea."
Max immediately stopped laughing at angel dust's stuck head and immediately started to try and help him get it out.
"Use the knife to get me out of this damn pumpkin!" Yelled angel dust, worried about his predicament.
Max grabbed a pumpkin knife and carefully cut the pumpkin enough to take it off of angel dust's head.
"I'm never doing that shit again." Said angel dust, picking some pumpkin goop out of his hair from max's rescue.
"Yeah, let's not do that and just stick with jack o lanterns." Said max, exhausted from freeing angel dust from his pumpkin prison.
After witnessing max save angel dust from having to wait until the pumpkin would have rotted off his head, the cherubs had enough notes to report to heaven about what they all do.
"Alright, I think that we've got enough notes, we're going back to report them." Said Cletus, putting the notes in a file folder.
"well, until we meet again, shine on you crazy diamond." Said max, quoting Pink Floyd and doing a peace sign.
And so, the three cherubs left through a portal to go back to heaven and turn in their notes about max and the others to heaven while max watched.
"Well, that just happened." Said max, shaking his head at the sight.
And then, max went back inside the hotel to start another Halloween movie night.
"So, I was thinking of a double feature for tonight." Said max to the others.
"What movies are we going to watch?" Asked vaggie.
"Footloose and the rocky horror picture show." Said max, holding the dvds of both movies.
"Oh boy!" Said angel dust, gleaming when max mentioned rocky horror.
"You seem to like the idea, angel dust." Said max.
"Well, what can I say, those movies are amazing." Said angel dust.
"Alright, I'll go ahead and start the double feature already." Said max, walking over to the dvd player.
And then, max started the footloose-Rocky horror double feature picture show by starting with footloose, and everyone enjoyed the music.

After footloose was finished, everyone was applauding while max put on the rocky horror picture show for the second half of this late night double feature picture show.

Everyone had a fun time as the rocky horror picture show, even dancing along when the time warp scene appeared.
After the double feature picture show of footloose and rocky horror, everybody was officially tired and max went back to his house and went to bed wondering what heaven thought of c.h.e.r.u.b's notes about him and what they saw.
