Chapter 49: returning to hawaii

It was the day that max and his parents were leaving California and heading back to Hawaii, and after spending the week having the time of his life, it was about time to go home.
Currently, he was packing up all of his stuff back into his suitcase and backpack so he and his parents could check out of the hotel room.
"Well, it's been a fun week but we've got to be heading home now." Said max.
And with that, Max and his parents took a shuttle that would take them to the Los Angeles international airport, where they used the check in desk and got their tickets for both from Los Angeles to Honolulu and from Honolulu to Hilo.
Once they got their tickets, they then went through the TSA and walked to the gate and waited for boarding to start, where max took some time to look at some videos on his iPhone while waiting.
Once boarding began and everyone got onto the plane, the five hour flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu had begun, and max spent the time watching the in flight entertainment, which had movies and music on it.
Once the five hour flight from Los Angeles had arrived in the Daniel k. Inoyue airport, max and his parents walked over to the next gate that had the plane that would go from Honolulu to Hilo, where they waited for boarding to begin, while max messaged the hazbins that they had made it to Oahu.
Once the plane had begun boarding and everyone got onto the plane, the next hour was spent flying from Honolulu to Hilo, which was pretty quick.
When the plane landed at the Hilo international airport, max and his parents got their bags and were picked up by max's tutu, and they drove back to max's house where max went to his room and started unpacking his stuff from his suitcase and luggage.
"It's good to be back home." Said max.
Once Max unpacked his stuff from his suitcase and backpack, he walked over to the hazbin hotel, where Charlie and the others were getting things together to make the hotel more Halloween themed.
"Hey everybody, I made it back." Announced max when he came in.
Immediately, Charlie and the others went to greet max at the hotel's entrance, and started asking him about how the trip went.
"Hope that Adam and lute didn't do anything stupid while they were with you." Said Charlie.
"Don't worry, they weren't. They actually seemed to like seeing Los Angeles." Said max,
"You bet your ass I liked it." Said Adam, who had arrived from a portal along with lute.
"That's pretty great, We spent some time preparing for Halloween." Said Charlie.
"Cool, maybe we could do a party at the hotel like last year." Said max.
"That's a good idea, I just hope we don't have to deal with something from a horror film." Said angel dust.
"What the hell are you talking about Anthony?" Asked a slightly confused Arackniss.
Max and the others then went on to explain the time they had to deal with the necronomicon ex mortis from the evil dead by throwing it into Kilauea and saying the magic words, much to the surprise of the hotel's new guests.
"That's actually some pretty badass stuff, dude. I mean, you all destroyed the fucking necronomicon without any deadites showing up." Said crymini, amazed at the tale.
"Yeah, well I didn't think it was so fun. I was scared because it just arrived out of nowhere with a spooky music sting. It even scared Charlie's dad." Said max.
"Holy shit, it must've been that serious." Said arackniss.
"Anyway, what should we do for the party?" Asked max, wanting to change the subject.
"Well, I was thinking of some music and having us in Halloween costumes for it." Said Charlie.
"That's a pretty good idea. I think we did something similar last year." Said max.
And with that, max and the others began planning about ideas for what to do for a Halloween party in the hotel, which they decided to wear costumes for it.
The group began planning things by setting up some Halloween decorations around the hotel lobby, which consisted of things like plastic skeletons and fake webs and stuff like that, with niffty smiling like a little gremlin as she helped set up the decorations. Not by long, the entire hotel was completely Halloween themed, however there were a few things missing to make it complete.
"Everything looks nice, but I think we're missing something to complete it." Said max, looking around.
"I think it's because we don't have a bag of candy  or our costumes yet." Said Adam.
"Right, we should probably go and get those things when available and probably invite some people we know." Said max.
After planning when would be a good time to get the candy and costumes, max and the others decided to just hang around and relax for a bit, with max deciding to sit on the couch.
"So, how was your trip to Los Angeles?" Asked Charlie, who was a bit curious.
"It was pretty fun. I liked seeing universal studios and seeing Iron Maiden was pretty cool too." Said max, thinking about the trip.
"That's pretty badass. If a Halloween party's happening, what's it going to be called?" Said crymini.
"Well, I thought it would make sense to call it dead man's party, like the Oingo Boingo song." Said max.
"That's pretty funny, I'll give you that." Said Adam.
"Which is why I'm asking if it's a good idea to call our Halloween party dead man's party." Said max.
"I'm okay with it being called that." Said Charlie, who gave a thumbs up.
"Alright then, it's officially a dead man's party. Who could ask for more?" Said max.
And so, max and the others spent the rest of the day getting into the Halloween spirit with them all watching some good old Halloween movies that they saw last year like The Nightmare Before Christmas, and when it was done max went to bed thinking of how fun Halloween would be.
