Autumn Benet

(SONG CHOICE FOR THE PORTION OF THIS CHAPTER: "I See The Light" from the Tangled soundtrack)

12:30 A.M

Nic💕
Come to the roof.

The text confused me. I had woken up in a dark room alone. Nic wasn't in the bed on the other side of the hotel room where I had last seen him like he said he would be, and it was rather quiet in the entire hotel room as a whole, so I was guessing that either they went out to explore the city or they're all asleep.

Confusion or not, I grabbed the keycard and slipped on my (Nic's) hoodie and a pair of slides, then silently slinked my way out of the hotel room.

The way to the roof was a SHIT TON of stairs—and sadly, my legs were two seconds from giving up, but finally I made it, but once I reached the door, I paused hearing the faint sound of music.

Something inside of me told me that I knew what the song was, but it wasn't clicking in my mind. My heart began beating a million miles a minute and my hands began shaking nervously as I reached for the knob of the door and pushed it open.

"Oh my gosh..." I gasped, stepping onto the roof.

Nic was sitting on a picnic blanket that was sporting an assortment of food. There was a bouquet of white and yellow roses in a vase in the middle of the blanket. Around the roof were candles and lanterns, practically making the roof glow, and in the background, I See The Light from the Tangled Soundtrack was playing.

"Nic, what in the world?" I exclaimed. "How did you do all of this? When did you do all this?"

Nic smirked, standing up and walking over to me. "I did it when you were sleeping. The way you were sleeping, you must've been tired...because I called your name like five times, and you didn't budge once."

I threw my head back, laughing and let Nic grab my hand and lead me to the center of the roof top. "Oh hush!"

"So...Autumn," He says softly as the song changes to Can I Have This Dance from HSM3. "Can I have this dance?"

I could stop myself from smiling from ear to ear as I placed my hands on his shoulders and nodded. "Of course you can.."

Immediately Nic smiled and began to waltz, taking me by surprise. I grinned as I watched his feet move effortlessly as we danced. Nic spun me around, making me giggle and rest my head on his chest once I was back facing him.

"How do you know how to waltz?" I asked curiously.

Nic shrugged. "My mom taught me. Haven't forgotten it since. She says I need to prepare for my wedding."

"So have you ever, *ahem* waltzed with someone other than your mom?" I asked, avoiding his gaze.

Nic removed his hand from my waist and tilted my chin up, a small smile on his face. "No," he says. "Just you."
