AUTUMN BENET

I basically hadn't seen my friends all week, and for a moment, I thought that it was something that I did until the gifts started rolling in.

This afternoon, a bodycon, bejeweled, pastel blue dress was delivered to my apartment along with a hairstylist, make-up artist, and nail tech arriving to my house to give me a manicure, pedicure, to get my hair done and my makeup done.

It all kind of shocked me, but it also allowed me to know that they weren't upset with me because only they knew what I would like and things of that nature. It also made me know that they were up to something, but I just didn't know what it was that they were up to since I hadn't seen them all week.

Not seeing them all week kind of upset me because I had spent all week packing and getting myself situated to move to Miami tomorrow, and hadn't spent time with any of them. I had really wanted to spend time with them before I left New York, but I guess that just wasn't in the cards for us at the moment. so

I had been sitting in this limousine for at least 20-25 minutes and I truly didn't understand where I was going but the driver told me that the limousine was sent by Penelope, so I overall trusted wherever I was being taken.

Finally, we arrived at this venue but the building was dark. That's when I started getting nervous, because why would Penelope send me to a dark ass building with nobody in it?

Was I being kidnapped or set up?
I didn't understand and I was getting nervous.

Cautiously, I stepped out of the limousine and made my way up to the doors of the venue. I peered through the glass, seeing that it was still dark and frowned. Placing my hand on the door, I pushed it open and stepped inside.

I glanced around and just as I was about to take another step forward, the lights turned on and several my friends and family jumped from out of hiding spots and behind tables shouting "SURPRISE!" nearly giving me a heart attack.

"Oh my gosh!" I gasped, letting out a nervous laugh.

My eyes widened as I looked around seeing my mother, father, grandmother, friends and some coworkers—including Caroline, my supervisor. The decor here was also very beautiful and it was my favorite color, light blue.

Penelope walked over to me with Cameron, Josh and Paisley at her side. They all had bright smiles on their faces as they approached me, each pulling me into a hug.

"We decided to throw you a going away party," Penelope explained. "We thought you'd like a whole night spent with everyone you love."

"Do you like it?" Paisley asks with a hopeful smile on her face.
