After a few days of rest and care within the hospital, Riel was discharged. He was given medication for his chronic pain (though he did not need to take them thanks to Dimitra's existence, hooray).
Since their main house was burned down, they were staying with his paternal uncle at their estate. It was only temporary while they prepare to move, deciding to move overseas to where their companies had just expanded.
Apparently, he was once again loaded in this life, but it was not because of his successful business, but rather their family. The Ennifer household here was of noble standing, with many businesses branching into just as many fields. They had been established for several generations now with solid foundations and trusted partnerships with many other known businesses and households.
Riel Ennifer was the heir apparent for the title of the family patriarch as the only son of the family head, his father. While brilliant with the same types of companies he created in his past life crossing over with him, he opted out of the role because of his health (and the fact he was too lazy to do something so tiresome).
His father also stepped down from the role since he wanted to be able to take care of Riel more. So he passed the title to his younger brother, Riel's uncle, Rosel. He was a good man more than worthy of the title, though he could be a little much.
Thus, what was Riel's title was given to his younger cousin, the eldest son of his uncle, Rosland. He was only 10, but he would learn and grow well. He was a bright child.
Dimitra had thankfully provided the memories of this life's 'Riel'. He was doted on since it was well-known that his body was weak. Just as he did before, he started his own business online, creating it to be completely self-sufficient without much input. If it needed managing, there were members of their family he trusted to do so for him. It was effectively another branch of their family business as of this point.
His uncle, just like his parents, adored Riel. And his cousin followed in his father's footsteps, treating him like an older brother more than a cousin. They gave him gifts, showered him with sweets, and visited so often that they practically lived together.
They'd actually been planning to come over for another visit when the arson happened and were devastated when they got the news of Riel's health. The puppy, Alice, was theirs. She loved Riel too, and his parents were watching her for the weekend.
Unlike many other families, they didn't have any internal fights about the position of the family head. The family did things together, each branch heading a different facet of their facilities. When harder discussions came, they contacted each other and asked for opinions.
The patriarch was just the person those outside their family would see when final decisions had been made. Though internal affairs would stay just that, internal. No one knew much about the family aside from their achievements and family members.
Only a select few knew that Riel was dying (again), and that included his Uncle and his people. Thus the reason they were here, ugly crying as they were finishing their packing to leave.
Uncle Rosel hugged the life out of him, just as burly and strong as his father (they were brothers, but this was ridiculous) "I'm going to visit you every chance I get, okay?! I promise, so you better keep going strong, and be good, and e-eat good, and sleep well, and-and" This man was a walking faucet with how much he was crying. "You better, okay?! I'll buy you all of the sweets you want, from anywhere in the world, okay? Just name it and I'll bring it personally-"
"Master Rosel," His butler interrupted, "I'm sorry, but you can not do that. With the main family backing away from the businesses here to acclimate to their child's h-health, it will be up to us to take on their mantle. We can not let them worry about anything else aside from their child."
