LOVE ACROSS THE MILES
Julia stood in her room, her green gown swirling around her as she hastily tied her hair into a ponytail.
Her heart raced with excitement as she grabbed a long, slender box from her small sling bag and a bouquet of vibrant flowers, a love letter carefully tucked among the blooms.
Julia was in a rush, but it was a joyful one. She glanced at the clock and realized it was time to meet Jeongguk at the train station.
He had no idea she would be there to welcome him, and she couldn't wait to see the surprise on his face.
With a final check in the mirror to make sure she looked presentable, Julia dashed out of her apartment, locking the door behind her.
Her feet echoed on the steps as she descended to the street below.
The bouquet cradled in her arm, she practically skipped down the sidewalk, her heart filled with love and anticipation.
As she neared the station, Julia's steps quickened. She couldn't wait to surprise Jeongguk, to envelop him in her arms and present him with the bouquet and the heartfelt letter.
It had been too long since they had been together, and she was determined to make his homecoming extra special.
Julia continued her hurried walk through the train station, scanning the platform for any sign of Jeongguk.
She couldn't hide the slight worry in her eyes as the minutes ticked away. Where was he?
Lost in her thoughts and the bustling crowd, Julia suddenly collided with a stranger, and they both stumbled back. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" Julia exclaimed, flustered.
The stranger, a kind-faced woman in a blue dress, quickly recovered and smiled. "No worries, it was my fault too."
As they both apologized and regained their composure, Lisa's keen eye caught something that had fallen to the ground during the collision.
It was a letter, and attached to it was a photograph of a man in a proper Marine uniform. Her curiosity got the best of her, and she couldn't help but pick it up.
Julia's heart skipped a beat as she realized the letter and the photograph were for Jeongguk. "Oh, that's for my fiancé," she said, extending her hand to take it from Lalisa.
Lisa handed the letter over with a warm smile. "I hope he likes the surprise," she said, noticing the bouquet in Julia's hand.
"Thank you," Julia replied, her gratitude evident in her eyes. "I hope so too."
With the letter safely in her possession, Julia continued her search for Jeongguk, her heart now racing with both excitement and the knowledge that she had a surprise waiting for him.
Lisa watched her for a moment, and then with a friendly smile, they went their separate ways.
Jeongguk scanned the bustling train station with a grin on his face, as if eager to reunite with Julia.
He pushed his way through the crowd, his eyes searching for the familiar person.
His heart raced with excitement, and he couldn't wait to surprise her.
Suddenly, his eyes locked on Julia, standing a bit further ahead, waving the bouquet in the air to get his attention.
Jeongguk's grin widened, and he quickened his pace to reach her. They were almost there, about to embrace after months apart.
But in the midst of their joyful reunion, a loud alarm rang through the station, sending a wave of panic rippling through the crowd.
An urgent announcement blared over the speakers, warning everyone to evacuate immediately.
Jeongguk and Julia, along with the frantic crowd, began to rush for the exit.
The chaos was overwhelming as people pushed and shoved, trying to escape.
During the commotion, the station suddenly erupted into chaos, explosions ripping through the air, causing debris and dust to fill the space.
Amid the chaos, Jeongguk struggled to maintain his footing and find Julia.
He called out her name, his voice desperate and filled with worry, but she was nowhere to be seen.
"Julia!!!"
He pushed through the panicked crowd, his heart pounding as he desperately searched for his fiancée.
Meanwhile, in the middle of chaos and destruction, Lisa found herself pinned against the wall.
Debris from above threatened to crash down, and she shielded herself as best as she could.
Injured and bleeding from a wound on her head, she fought through the haze of pain and panic to stay alert.
As the dust began to settle, Lisa realized the extent of the tragedy around her.
There were casualties everywhere, and despite her own injuries, she knew she had to help.
With a blurry vision, she began assisting the wounded, doing her best to provide aid and comfort in the midst of the disaster.
