A LONG DAY AHEAD

In the bustling emergency room of the hospital, stretchers and gurneys occupied every available space.

Medical staff rushed to and fro, attending to the continuous flow of casualties arriving by ambulance.

The atmosphere was one of urgency, with paramedics and nurses working tirelessly to stabilize the incoming patients.

Amidst the chaos, Lisa entered the scene, her blue dress marred with bloodstains, and her ponytail dishevelled.

She didn't waste a moment and immediately joined the medical team in transporting casualties to treatment areas and providing initial aid.

Dr. Namjoon in the emergency department, had been overseeing the influx of patients.

When he spotted Lisa, he approached her, his face marked by concern.

"Lisa, are you alright?" he inquired, his voice filled with worry. "Were you among those affected?"

Lisa, her countenance reflecting a mixture of fatigue and determination, nodded as she continued her work.

"I'm fine, Namjoon. Yes, I was at the station. These patients need our help."

Amid the ongoing chaos in the emergency room, Dr Namjoon noticed Lisa's dishevelled appearance and the blood on her blue dress.

Worried for her well-being, he gently pulled her aside and guided her to a chair.

"Lisa, your head... is bleeding, and your arm, too," he said urgently. "You need medical attention."

"I'm aware. I'll tend to it later," Lisa replied as she tended to other patients. However, Dr. Namjoon took her arm and led her to one of the chairs. "Namjoon, I'll do it later. Don't you hear me?"

Dr. Namjoon promptly attended to her head wound, cleansing it and applying a bandage with professional care.

Lisa winced slightly as he worked, recognizing the necessity of receiving care. As he treated her, she finally took a moment to catch her breath.

"Thank you," she expressed with gratitude. "Now, I have to get back."

"Lisa, you've been through the same tragedy as the rest of them," Dr Namjoon emphasized, gently guiding her back into the seat. "You need to rest. We've got the other patients covered."

Lisa was about to object, but Dr. Namjoon continued, "I'll arrange a ride home for you. Please rest, you're still in recovery."

Lisa didn't utter a word as she observed Dr. Namjoon tending to other patients.

Her thoughts were divided between her recovery and the well-being of the casualties flooding the emergency room. She knew that every moment counted in this critical situation.
