KEEPSAKE MEMORIES
Lisa strolled along the pavement, exploring Jeongguk's hometown and she decided to spend it discovering the various shops around town.
As she meandered down the bustling street, she suddenly stopped when she noticed someone standing in front of her. Lifting her head, she saw Hyun smiling at her.
Three minutes later, Hyun and Lisa walked into the Little Jun Bookstore, which Hyun owned.
"I was supposed to be there for him, but you know how sudden calls can be," Hyun explained. "And... Thank you for accompanying Jeongguk on the train this morning, doctor."
Lisa nodded. "Don't worry about that," she said with a smile. "And you don't have to call me that. Just call me Lisa."
Hyun smiled and nodded.
Lisa looked around, taking in the cosy and charming atmosphere of the small but beautiful shop.
"Your place is so lovely," she remarked, her eyes lighting up as she admired the rows of neatly arranged books and the inviting reading nooks.
Hyun nodded, pleased with her reaction. "Feel free to look around."
Just then, the bell above the door jingled, and a woman entered the bookstore. She was carrying a small basket filled with fresh fruit.
"Hello, Hyun," she greeted warmly. "I brought some fruit from my garden. I tried to drop it off at your flat, but no one was home, so I thought I'd bring it over here."
"Thanks," Hyun replied, walking over to greet her. "Lisa, this is Sonja, my neighbour from downstairs."
"Nice to meet you, Sonja," Lisa said, smiling.
"Nice to meet you too, Lisa," Sonja responded with a friendly nod. "Enjoy the bookstore. Hyun has a wonderful collection here."
Lisa glanced back at the shelves, feeling even more at ease in the welcoming environment.
Hyun took the basket from Sonja and set it on the counter.
"These look delicious," Hyun said, examining the assortment of apples, pears, and berries.
Sonja smiled. "I just wanted to share some of the harvest. Who else is going to eat them if not you?"
"Of course," Hyun chuckled and replied. "Why don't you stay and look around?"
Sonja smiled and nodded before browsing the shelves, leaving Hyun and Lisa to continue their conversation.
"It's always nice to have good neighbors," Lisa remarked, glancing at the fruit basket.
"Absolutely," Hyun agreed. "Sonja's always been generous with her harvest. It's one of the perks of living here."
Sonja paused as she scanned the books, a flicker of recognition crossing her face. "Wait a minute," she said, turning back to Lisa. "Aren't you the woman who helped me at the Lorelei train station a few months ago?"
