Hanna is in and out for a week, her face half swollen and half of her body covered in bandage. Selena trys to stay by her friend's side, she feels sad and broken, and a bit guilty. She knows if Hanna is awake she would call her silly and says it's alright the bullet and everything, she can take it so that Selena is safe and all that, but she just can't help but breaks down a little.
Thank God on the third day of the second week Bieber gets worried about Selena staying in the ER for so long and comes to visit. Instead of flowers, he brings bubble gum. "Blow a bubble, the bigger the bubble, the faster she wakes up. My grandma's trick." Selena doesn't know whether to believe him, the guy is normally full of nonesense. But she does it anyway. She sings songs and draw on Hanna's face with make ups to pass time. And whenever she misses her, she just blows a gigantic bubble. One bubble exploded too close to Hanna's face and Selena has to wipe is off her.
Finally on the fifth day Hanna woke up with a start. "Son of a" She tries to bounce off the bed as if to jump in front of Selena again but only half sits up, and scares the hell out of Selena who was dozing off at the moment. "Oh my dear God, it's like being woke up by a understorm." Selena teases at her friend, laughing a bit histerically." Selena are you hurt in the accident? " Hanna asked, scanning her for damage." Relax, I'm in one piece. The only damage is this sleepy eye I got from all the worrying about you. Even Biebs says I'm possessed as I normally don't stay in one spot for longer than a day let alone a week. " " My bad. I'll disappear then. " Hanna lays her head on the pillow and pokes her tongue out to fake death. "Don't you die on me again!" Fists rain down on Hanna and Selena is playing with her again.
"So good to be alive." Hanna thinks.
