Faces, faces on a screen. It shouldn't mean anything to him, it's just Selena and Benny dressing up for halloween, but bieber still feel betrayed. He has no right, he knows, but he wishes that person holding her hand is not Benny. There's just something wrong about him.
Taking to the keyboard, Justin clears his throat and tries to sing.

Justin closes the piano. Truth is, he can't write another song without Selena.
He opens his phone, and sees Benny getting covid, and Selena dressing up as a nurse. He wonders about Hanna, whether that girl's heart is broken too. Selena got back with Benny somehow. Maybe she wants to be loved by a man, instead of a girl. Maybe she's exhausted by Hanna's incessant worries about her. Maybe she just wanna live her life unbothered, less tethered.
Justin turned off the light. Beside him, Hailey is fast asleep. He kisses her on the forehead and smells her familiar scent. He closes him eyes and pray he won't dream of Selena again. It's always the same nightmare, Selena standing on the edge of a cliff. He tries to convince her to step back, only to see her fall. He always wakes up crying, heart beating so fast, reaching to his phone to dail Selena, but then, remembering his ring, puts the phone down.
Some pains he can take alone. Alone in the dark, no one should know. It's the consequence of love, his Achilles hill.
