I Don't Want Your Pity (Selena)

Movie's on, but there's no sound. Selena lay on the sofa with a pounding headache. Phone rings for the thousand's time and Selena finally picks up.

"No Hayley, how many times have I told you, I don't know where he is." Selena said impatiently.

"I couldn't reach him anyhow, I even called his mom. Do you think he's in danger?" Hayley asked.

Knowing Justin, he may have skipped his tuition with Hayley just to go out with Laroi, but Selena doesn't have the heart to tell her. "He's probably passed out somewhere, or he overslept." She mumbles, then hung up.

There are knocks on the door. Selena dragged herself to the door, then opened it with difficulty. Justin stood outside with a rose, besides him Laroi carries a box of gifts. "Happy Tuesday!"

Selena shut the door with a bang.

Justin keeps knocking the door. Selena has to open it again, and stares at him.

"Listen, I did not mean to compare you to Hayley last night. It's just. She's always there for me and I'm grateful for her. But you will always be my favorite girl. I can feel you before I touch you, here," Justin points to his heart, "And that's what love is. I'm sorry but I'm missing more than your body."

Selena continues to stare blankly. Then she realizes it's her turn to speak so she said dryly, "I'm sorry I'm having a really bad headache, can you repeat what you said?"

"Let me in, okay? I'll take care of you." Justin said with a smile.

"Fine. But I don't want your pity." Selena said.

"Why? I don't pity you, I love you, there's a difference. " Justin said.

"But to you I'm just a girl, a disposable one, you're always on the look out for someone better." Selena said, "and FYI, I have Hanna now. She is more than a friend."

"Yo, are you gonna let us in or what?" Laroi finally said. "No, I changed my mind. Sorry." Selena closes the door yet again and falls back into her bed.

The pain is getting worse. But it has to stop somehow. Why does Justin show up? Does he really care? He wants to be the hero who saves her life, but when she gets better, he leaves, chasing some other girl. When will I find someone who really cares about me and love me for me? Selena moans, the image of Hanna holding taking her to hospital floods her mind, and she falls to a heavy sleep.
