Risky: I've figured out the origin of the Dark Magic.
(Y/N): YOU HAVE?! How?
Risky: Intuition. When the Genies took down the Pirate Master, they drained themselves completely of their magic. They reduced him to bone and ash. Without the magic to sustain themselves, the genies disappeared. The only one left is you.
Shantae: Me?
Risky: Yes. When I took your magic and put it in the lamp. I made a wish.
Shantae: You used my magic for your evil purposes, and it became Dark Magic!
(Y/N): But we destroyed it!
Risky: Perhaps not. It's more likely that you all scattered the magic. Magic can never be truly destroyed.
(Y/N): You're right.
Risky: Not long after that encounter, the curse placed upon my men began to take effect. Indicating that a new source of dark magic has appeared. But we should worry about that later. There's another Den of Evil to destroy.
Shantae: But could it really be true?
(Y/N): Doesn't matter. Let's get going! Who's coming along?

You went off with Shantae, Luffy, Jack, Gajeel, Levy, Robin, and Lily.
Levy: This island seems almost ... empty.
Robin: This island is where some souls get lost on the way to the afterlife. It said that there's a city where all those lost souls dwell.

???: My name is Hexer. Beyond this gate, is the Village of Lost Souls.

Luffy stood silent.

Hexer: Yes. It is heavy indeed.

He opens up the gate to the Village of the Lost Souls!
