"WHAAAT?!?? Just kidding, Kief! Di ka naman mabiro...," Alyssa said, slapping his arm while walking amidst a throng of students. "Of course, sasamahan kita. I still have two hours of free time. Might as well take my lunch before magstart ang next class ko."
"Di ko alam kung gusto mo lang talaga ma-feel ang biceps ko, or you just like to hurt me para makabawi ka sa kung ano mang kasalanan ko," Kief said, massaging his arm. "I mean, god! That's your spiking arm!"
"OA naman nito... daming satsat. Sasamahan na nga kita, dami pang reklamo." Alyssa said, trying to adjust her bag on her shoulder. It's a warm day, too warm for comfort, and Alyssa tried to remove the strands of hair that kept on sticking at her nape. She tried rummaging for a hair band in her bag, and that slowed down the pace of their walk. With a sigh of impatience, Kiefer blurted, "Ba't di ka na lang kase pagupit? It wouldn't hurt, you know."
Alyssa slowly raised her head, looking at Keifer with just the same amount of annoyance, "The hell, Kief? Buhok ko naman ngayon pinapakialaman mo?" She straightened up. "Ano? Lunch pa ba tayo? Baka magtatalo lang tayo?"
Kiefer smirked, "Gutom na ako. At ang init. At ang bagal mo. Let's just go." Alyssa did not budge and gave him the look. "Sorry na, promise 'di ko na papakialaman ang buhok mo," he said with exasperation.
"Alam mo, this is exactly one of those moments when I wish your girlfriend is studying here, at this very school!" Alyssa said, and started moving forward again. Kiefer jogged to keep up with her. "I mean, kawawa naman ako palagi -- palaging sub! Kung wala ang girlfriend mo, ang mga katropa mo naman niyayaya mo. 'Pag wala sila, ako na next sa list mo."
Kiefer blocked her and faced her. "Hep! Hep! Hep! Sinong may sabi in that particular order?"
Alyssa took a deep breath, placed her hands on her hips, and said,"Alangan naman mahuli ang girlfriend mo?" She gently shoved Kiefer on his chest, just enough to make them start moving again, "I mean, seriously, Keif. There are times I'm wondering if I'm really your friend, or just a filler sa schedule mo."
"At least, it never occurred to you na yaya ko or PA kita," Kiefer said with a laugh.
"Gosh, di naman siguro masyadong mataas tingin natin sa sarili, ano?" Alyssa huffed. They are almost near Kiefer's car, and Alyssa couldn't just wait to get away from the blistering heat.
"I'm being honest," Kiefer said, hurriedly opening the car door for Alyssa. "And as your bonus, I'll treat you for lunch," Kiefer finished, helping Alyssa as she was getting inside the car.
"Dang, Keif. I'm not exactly sure if I'd like to punch you in the face, or smack it. But I'm happy with the free lunch," Alyssa retorted, putting on her seatbelt.
"That's my girl!" Keif crowed, and drove out of the parking lot.

"Kala ko ba masama ang panahon this week? Why the freaking warm humid weather?" Alyssa complained, gathering her hair on one side. She couldn't find anything to tie it with, so she has to make do of letting it fall on her right shoulder.
"Alam ko na kung ano ireregalo ko sa 'yo this Christmas - hairbrush!" Kiefer jokingly told her, while putting down the food tray on their table.
"Hair ko pa rin, Kief?" Alyssa raised her eyebrow.
"Ayaw mo nun, may gift ka sa akin?" He smiled annoyingly, making Alyssa roll her eyes at him. Then she also smiled.
"That would be the gift na tatagal sa akin! Di siya masisira dahil di ko masyadong magagamit," Alyssa said, and started eating her lunch.
