Ch 3 | Lies

"You don't have to stay here, you know?" Taehyung responded but Jungkook didn't say anything further, as if he didn't care what he had to say. It would happen regardless and nothing would change his mind once it had been set.

"Nope, you're not convincing me that easily." He shrugged and turned away. Taehyung reluctantly reached his arm out and was about to stop him from walking away, but released his grip and defeatedly gave up convincing him.

Because of his actions earlier on, Jungkook had been very overprotective about him and had hidden all of the potential harm so he couldn't do it again. It annoyed him, but deep down he understood why it was being done.

He would most likely be doing the same if the roles were reversed.

"I told you I'm fine and it won't happen again " Taehyung hopelessly attempted to change his mind, even if it didn't change much. Small progress was better than no progress.

Jungkook stopped in his tracks and slowly turned around to face behind him. It was out of disbelief and shock that he thought he should show his disapproval just by his face alone.

"Don't say another word."

So it was left as that.

He gave up trying to convince him in the end.

The Next Day
"Y/N? Is that you?" The girl's hand touched her arm hesitantly, unsure if what she was seeing was true or just a hallucination.
But the confusion was written all over her face, a random girl was touching her and she didn't like any second of it.

"Who are you?"

The girl looked stunned and her expression looked shocked and confused.
"Huh? Y/N...What are you talking about? It's me, Seojin, your best friend..!" Seojin seemed to laugh off the whole situation but Y/N didn't know what was so funny.

"Seojin... Please don't touch me..." Her words were shaky and she seemed terrified and beyond confused, pushing away her hand and taking a step back from the girl.
Seojin was filled with hurt and confusion ran across her mind. Her expression was showing it, but she stepped away and gave her some space, but the empty feeling didn't leave her after that.

"I don't know you... How do you know me?"

Seojin was stunned, surely this had to be some sort of sick prank, right?
Y/N had always been the type to pull hectic pranks on people and get their sincere reactions, but not something like this ever.

"I'm your best friend. We have known each other for so many years! Stop joking with me, it isn't funny." She crossed her arms and put on a believable serious expression.

Seojin: You're funny, really funny.

Y/N: I...I'm not trying to be...

Seojin: It's obvious what you're trying to do, and it isn't going to work so cut it out.
