Ch 28 | Crowded Place

"Taehyung? Come back!" Jungkook said to me. But I didn't respond. He mustn't know anything until everything has been sorted out. Too much has happened and I can't burden them with that news.

It happened a couple of days ago and Haneul hasn't been seen since. I called the police after Y/N wasn't outside anymore, so simply enough he was taken away by the police and Y/N was taken to the hospital. I still haven't got much news on her state, but I should give her and her family some privacy for now.

Of course, there have been rumours going around about Haneul and the reason he hasn't been coming to school for the past few days, but obviously, each one of them is wrong, and they aren't even close to the truth. But Haneul can tell them himself, I don't want anything to do with him anymore. He isn't a brother to me.

All this time we have been searching for this guy and he turned out to be right in front of us this whole time. I don't understand, how could he do something so cruel and heartless. I knew he was a bastard, but I never knew he would stoop so low and do something like that.

I hate to be related to someone like that, but it's out of my control. The least I can do is cut contact with him and never see him again.

No one else knows what happened, but it won't take long until they do. They won't find out, I'll make sure of it.

This is my business that should be taken care of by ME. Not anyone else.

But I won't be living with Haneul anymore and I need to tell Jungkook or else he will find out himself when he realises I'm not home. But I don't want to be a burden and annoy him with my problems.

I could easily ruin Haneul's reputation forever if I spill the news but I want to get it sorted before I do something drastic.
The bastard deserves it, but now isn't the time to be stupid.

"Hey, are you okay?" Jungkook asked me as we were walking down the corridor. All eyes were on us and each one of them was gossiping about something. I'm used to their useless words so it didn't bother me.

Until someone said something that instantly caught my attention.

"Isn't he Haneul's brother? I heard Haneul got arrested!" Some boy said to his friend.

I paused.

Jungkook immediately turned over to me and nudged my shoulder with his arm. He heard what they said. But how did that guy know about that? No one knows about that apart from me. The news isn't public yet so how did he know?

I looked over to the guy who noticed me staring at him. There was a slight smile on his face and saying it angered me would be an understatement. This isn't his business to be telling other people.

"Oh look, someone's mad." The guy laughed at his friends and slapped one of them on the shoulder.
They hesitantly laughed back and lightly punched his shoulder once they saw my furious expression.
