Ch 4 | The Truth

Slow and steady steps as she walked down the dark wooden staircase. A place she had always known. The perfectly white wallpaper with the photo frames displayed on it, showed family photos of her and the only family member she had.
There wasn't another time of her life that was meaningful now. It's all she ever remembered in her eighteen years of living.

"You're here?" The familiar voice of her father called out to her from the dining room. It was an important day he claimed. Even though she didn't know what was so important she had to rush out of bed early in the morning for it.

"Why did I need to wake up so early for this?" The girl asked and sat down next to him on the chair. His tone was quiet and nervous. He almost felt hesitant and didn't know what to say at all.
"We should go. We can't be late for this." He didn't say anything either and got up out of his seat and walked out the door.

"Wait I'm not ready!" The girl ran into the kitchen and grabbed a few things before running out the door following her dad.

It was a warm and beautiful day outside. All the birds were chirping in the trees and the warm weather breeze caressed her cheeks and a smile crept onto her face.
With such a beautiful day, you wouldn't suspect something bad happening. If anything, it was an advantage.

But the events leading up to that moment would change her life forever.

Jaehyun: You should've asked her more. You're gonna ask things when you just walked out and didn't give her a chance to explain everything.

Jimin: I don't want to see her right now. If you keep mentioning it then I'll just walk out on you as well.

Jaehyun: Don't be like that... I'm just giving you advice.

Jimin: Advice I don't need.

Jaehyun: Consider it. Don't ruin your relationship with your mother because of this bickering.

Jimin: No SHE ruined it by reintroducing my dad into my life and making up a terrible lie about Y/N. I can't speak to her right now knowing what she's doing.

Jaehyun: You'll realize it sooner or later.

Jimin: What's that supposed to mean?

Jaehyun: What I mean is... You'll realize your mistake later on when it's too late.

Jimin: ...

He was quiet. Thousands of thoughts were running through his mind. Deep down he was rethinking everyone and how rude he had been earlier to his mother.
She didn't deserve to be treated like that and in the end, she just misses Y/N as much as him. They're both heartbroken over it.
