"Ok, so what should we play?" Linh asked them, dropping bits of water on Tam every passing second. "You know, I don't think I've ever wanted to strangle you more, Linh." He grumbled under his breath.
Linh created a sign out of water, bubble letters saying 'I DON'T CARE.'
"Wow." Fitz breathed. Normally, Sophie would be super jealous, but she felt happy that Fitz wasn't fighting for her.
"Are you ready to do this?' He transmitted to Sophie, she startled as his crisp-accented voice filled her head.
'I think so. Do you remember the plan?' Sophie asked him, running over it herself.
'Yup.' He nodded. "Alright umm so I need 2 people to help me come up with human games. Who wants to help me?" Sophie asked them all.
Everybody's hand immediately shot up. "I should definitely do it, since well, " Keefe paused as he walked up to Sophie and twined their hands together.
"We have a special connection." He winked and Sophie blushed at the gesture.
"Fair enough." She ran to get a hat from her room. "Okay so I went to fill this hat with your guys' names. Whoever I choose, helps."
She shuffled her hand through and pulled out a scrap of paper. "Fitz!"A/N All of them said Fitz. Everyone groaned as he walked over to Sophie's side.
"So, Wonderboy. What ideas do you have?" Keefe asked him. He tapped his chin, "Sophie?" They both turned to her.
"What about Seven minutes in Heaven?" Both boys looked at each other, "Um Sophie, " Fitz mumbled, "You're gonna have to explain how to play that game."
Keefe added on, "Yeah Foster, we're not that smart!" Sophie tightened her grip on his hand. "Ok, so the actual version is you're supposed to sit in a closet with a random person for 7 minutes, but I'm gonna change it up. You can now ask that person anything you want and they have to answer truthfully, 7 questions each."
The boys glanced at each other. Keefe smirked, "Ok, but I would've liked doing the actual version, with a special someone." He looked into Sophie's eyes.
She bumped into his side playfully. "Ok, I REALLY want some mallowmelt, Keefe can you get me some?" Sophie asked him.
"I respond to NO-ONE!" He shouted teasingly, "Except my Foster." Her stomach twisted when he leaned in so, very close to whisper that.
Keefe walked into the kitchen to get some and Fitz stepped closer to Sophie, so close, she could feel his breath on her cheeks when he asked her, "You ready?" Sophie nodded.
They heard footsteps coming towards them, which were Keefe's, signaling them to start.
Fitz wrapped one arm around her waist, and cupped her cheek with the other. Sophie winced, but he pressed his lips against hers.
She had forgotten how well of a kisser Fitz was. No, NO! She couldn't think that. Since she had to do it for Lady Gisela, she decided to at least make it good.
Sophie threw her arms around his neck pulling them even closer, deepening the kiss. Fitz held her tighter as they kissed.
"So, you like . . . him, Foster?" Keefe whisper-asked. They acted surprised and jumped apart. Sophie looked back and forth between them. "No I-"
Keefe's glare could've melted iron. "Did you make her do it?!" He yelled at him.
Fitz just looked down. "Kinda." Keefe's frown was the saddest, most heartbreaking thing Sophie had ever seen.
"That's all I needed to hear." Keefe ran to his room, and returned with a coat in one hand and imparter and pen in the other.
He raced to his pathfinder and whispered a location so no-one else could hear it. He looked like he was crying as he looked right at Sophie and said, "When you love me again, come get me."
Sophie right then and there couldn't feel her feet or anything. Then it all went black.
