As the lunch break approached, I turned to Liz with a question in mind. "Where do you want to grab lunch?" (If I am not mistaken, she is supposed to say "anything.")

Her response, however, was refreshingly simple. "Anywhere," she replied with a nonchalant smile. (Holy moly, she really did say it.)

I raised an eyebrow, playfully pushing her for more details. "Alright, but what kind of food are you in the mood for?"

Liz, being her quirky self, responded by pointing at something across the courtyard with an exaggerated snout. Don't please be with me, Liz; I know what you have in mind. I do not have time for your jokes, not now that the good-looking guy you're eyeing isn't going anywhere. Let's just decide on lunch for today."

"Is that really you, Bennnn?" a voice echoed.

The Ben I know would react to that and shout loudly, "That really caught me off guard, Ben. "But are you really you? "What do you mean? I am still me, but this sensation still feels weird. Because if not, I'm giving you a purging time for playing this prank."

I turned to Liz, a mischievous grin forming just because I was annoyed by the fact that these were literally the same in my dream.

It looks like I've got to give Ben a proper purge to get my friend back.

Liz and I exchanged glances, her sign clearly indicating that she was just as puzzled as I was. It seemed that the lunchtime drama had taken an unexpected turn, and I couldn't help but feel a mix of doubt and confusion.

A sense of relief washed over me as I heard those words from my friend, Ben. I couldn't help but chuckle at his admission. "That scary glare of yours is enough to prove that" Liz replied with a playful grin.

Uhm, Liz, you will probably suggest to me a fast-food joint nearby.

How did you know, Ben? She asked me as if she were confused by what I had just said.

Don't ask anything; let's just eat, Liz.

She did not say anything, as our stomachs are doing a little happy dance at the thought of a delicious fast-food meal.

"Ready to go?" Lizbeth asked with an eager smile, clearly excited about our food adventure.

I nodded in agreement, but before we could make our grand exit, I had a little moment of panic. "Liz, can you check my bag first?" I asked sheepishly. As she rummaged through my bag, a sinking feeling hit me like a ton of bricks. "Oh, shoot, I knew it; I will forget my phone on the fourth floor.

Lizbeth, ever the impatient one, urged me to speed things up. "Make it faster," she said with an exaggerated sigh.

I gave her a nod, my mind already racing up four flights of stairs to retrieve my phone. "I'll wait for you at the exit," she declared, and I didn't bother responding; I simply turned and dashed toward the staircase. "Gosh, 4th floor, seriously?" I muttered to myself. But I knew I didn't have a choice; the thought of leaving my phone behind was simply unbearable. So, with determination in my step, I began the trek back up, hoping to reach the classroom and retrieve my precious phone in record time.

I sprinted up the stairs like I was in a race against time to rescue my forgotten phone. The steps were kind of slippery, but Lizbeth's impatient stare at the exit left me no choice.

With every step, it just weirded me out because this familiarity is too much of a coincidence. Finally, after what felt like a century (I may be exaggerating a bit), I burst into the classroom. My phone is supposed to be chilling on the desk, and I was really right. I grabbed it and muttered, "This is starting to get creepy."
