A/n: So I wanted to have my story follow that of the original manga/show, so let's just pretend that Class 1-A went to the summer camp and nothing bad ever happened :)
It was a hot, sticky afternoon in Homeroom when Aizawa Sensei finally managed to get out of his sleeping bag. I did not want to know how he could stand being in that yellow monstrosity for the whole class.
"Alright, listen up problem children," Aizawa Sensei was standing behind the small podium at the front of the class, looking a bit weary (like usual) and sleepy, but his weary demeanour didn't make him any less intimidating. "Mid-terms are coming up, which means it's around time to go back to the Forest Camp with Class 2-B. Be-"
Before Sensei can finish, the entire class erupts in cheers. Looking around, I can see Kaminari- and Kirishima-san jumping, hugging each other. Ashido-san joins them, cheering at the top of her lungs. Behind me, I can practically see Uraraka-san and Izuku-kun cheering as well.
"What's going on?" I ask Sho softly, noticing that he's smiling as well. My confusion is evident, and I can tell someone (Ahem, ash-blond explosion for hair) is scoffing at my ignorance. I don't acknowledge him, but instead keep my gaze focused on Sho.
"The Forest Camp is a training camp we go to after mid-terms," He explains, his grin imprinted on his face. I rarely get to see him smiling so brightly in public. "We went last year. We train for eight hours a day, make our food, and get to have sleepovers for a week."
I chuckle softly, smiling. "That sounds like fun. I'm sad I didn't get to go last year." Before I can continue with my next thought, Sensei interrupts our celebration.
"Calm down, calm down," He's annoyed. "You're acting like 5-year-olds. Anyway..." Sensei continues, explaining more about the mid-terms. I sort of zone out, thinking about the Forest Camp. Based on what I heard throughout the excited chatter from earlier, it's run by the Wild Wild Pussycats (Uraraka-san), the scenery is great (for cool poses - Tokoyami-san), and there are bathhouses (You can guess who said this one).
"... Mid-terms are in a month," I snap back to reality, focusing on Sensei. "If you're not prepared, at least be ready for the Cram School you'll be in for the entirety of the vacation," I hear a chorus of groans in the back of the room, but I can't pinpoint the sound to a certain group of people. Just as he finishes, the bell rings, signalling the end of the day. "Class dismissed." He waves his hand dismissingly, climbing back into that yellow sleeping bag before going out cold.
~*Timeskip because I'm lazy*~
Midterms had just finished and I sighed, laying on my bed. The week before had been utter hell, studying every waking moment in hopes of getting a passing grade. I felt terrible, knowing there were things I could've done differently. I could've translated something better in my English exam, the format of my Science Exam's answers could've been neater, I could've simplified a couple of questions earlier in my Math exam... The list goes on. I couldn't help but feel disappointed that my best effort wasn't showcased, but I'm glad that I got most of it done. I sighed once more, falling asleep quickly from my exhaustion.
I woke up the next morning feeling a bit better, albeit still very tired. I dragged myself out of bed at about seven, much later than when I usually wake up. I pulled on a hoodie over my t-shirt but didn't bother changing my pyjama pants; it was the weekend. I made my way over to the bulletin board in the common room, where the exam results were posted. My energy returned to me as I looked for my name, along with the ones of my friends.
