Y/n POV:

Last night was SO. MUCH. FUN. Sho and I played games until lights out and we talked smack about that pomeranian. What an asshole. We were allowed to sleep together since Aizawa knew that we were step-siblings, although I think of us as full siblings. We're so close that it feels like the truth.

Since today was Saturday, I decided to get to know Hitoshi better. I feel like I don't know him at all, although he's supposed to be my brother. I ended up getting his number from Kendo, so I decided to text him the plans.

Y/n

Hey Hitoshi, I want to get to know you better. Do you want to meet up at *** *** ***? :)

Hitoshi

Sure! That sounds great! Is noon okay?

Y/n

See you there!

I am SO glad that Hitoshi agreed. I feel like I've known him for so long, but I've never met him. I pulled out a crop top, jeans, and black and white shoes. (U can choose whatever u like) After taking an Uber, I saw Hitoshi walking towards the entrance. I darted to him and jumped onto his back.

"Hi!" I said in his ear. He pretty much jumped in shock, his entire body (and mine) an extra millimetre in the air. I held onto him tighter, and as a result, accidentally closed his trachea just a bit.

"Y/n!" He said with an annoyed undertone, but I could feel the harshness nonetheless. "Don't jump on my back and scare me like that!" He sighs, letting the tenseness in his shoulders decrease.

"Sorry! I'm just so excited to finally be able to meet my brother!" I apologized as I got off his poor back. I started heading into the cafe with Hitoshi behind me. "I think you'll like this cafe a lot!" I'm quite excited to show it to him since it was a cat cafe and one of my favourites of all time! I saw this place online and I loved it when I visited it for the first time with Sho a couple of years back. This place is in the middle of the city with not many customers, and I've decided that it's a place for special people in my life! Maybe I'll take Tou- DABI. one day! Although he might scare the cats with his scary looks...

"Whoa..." Hitoshi beamed in awe when he saw all the cat supplies by the tables. A kind waiter, Jinei, greeted us and took us to our table. The serene cafe has hanging plants, fungi, and the most amazing coffee I have ever tasted. The cats are rescued shelter/abused cats, and while some can be hesitant to come to certain people, most are gentle and willing for some praise. They're the most adorable things you'll ever see!

"Hi, Y/n!" Jinei knows me from the multiple trips I make here throughout the year. Before planning the trip, I told her about Hitoshi. I didn't know who else to tell. "This must be your long-lost brother, Shinso Hitoshi!" She beamed over at him, expecting some man from a fairytale, but she was disappointed. "He isn't exactly what you said he was..." She whispered to me.

"Of course not!" I defended him. Still whispering, I told her that he was a kind guy and she shouldn't worry about me. Honestly, I'm getting sick of people worrying for me. Have they never heard of a strong, independent woman?

Okay, maybe I do like people protecting me on occasion. But in the middle of a conversation isn't the right time!

Jinei walked us over to our table, a beautiful wooden piece that was designed to look vintage without the cost. It also came with a window seat displaying the beautiful garden in the front. The tables were wide and the chairs were surprisingly comfy for wood. There was also an area where we could sit on the giant, squishy armchairs and cuddle with the cats. Behind the cafe lay a suburban yet abandoned road, fenced woods behind it, and some cat toys littered in an outdoor area.

"You should have told me that this was a cat cafe, Y/n," He told me after we sat down. "I would have come with cat toys!" He exclaimed with playful annoyance, resting his head in his hands

I completely forgot that if Shinso knew we were going to come here, he could have brought something to make the day better. Ugh, if only I could remember things like this! "I guess I should've," I respond, chuckling softly to hide my embarrassment. He luckily didn't notice the slight red on the tips of my ear, the only indication that I was nervous.

A small calico kitten slowly walked up to Hitoshi, carrying a small toy wind-up mouse in its mouth. Hitoshi looked down at it, and picked her up gently, cradling her near. He raised her to his nose, gently talking to the kitten.

Quickly making use of the moment, I pulled out my phone and took a picture of him. Damn, it came out good. His purple hair shined in the sunlight and his tender smile... It melted my heart. I can't believe that I missed out on ten years of sibling bonding, but the best I could hope for is a great future where I get to be closer to him.

We then bought some food and drinks and played with the kittens for a couple of hours. I can't count the number of times he's bit back on cursing because a cat either almost spilled his drink or stepped in his food, and I can't remember that I was nervous. These small interactions with him feel so normal I forgot that we just reunited.

We took a ride home together, laughing and trying to pick off the endless cat hair from our belongings. He then dropped me off at the crossroads to our dorms, a small roundabout-like pathway circling a tree.

"Hey, Hitoshi," I called before he left for his dorm. He turned around with a questioning hum, cocking his head to the side. He looked so content, his expression happy from the evening. I couldn't hold back my grin, but I managed to reduce it to a thankful smile.

"I want you to know that you will always be my brother, no matter the fact that Endeavour adopted me. Thank you." I smiled, hoping my sincerity and appreciation were conveyed well through that one sentence.

His response is a quiet one, yet I can't think of a better way to express all the feelings he packed into it. He responded with a smile, but in his eyes, I could tell that he understood me. In fact, he somehow managed to pick up on underlying emotions and convey them so well that I wondered if his quirk was Mind Reading, not Brainwashing.
