Birds – Imagine Dragons

A few days passed. Connor dug through and through the entire area where body had been found, overanalyzed everything that could've been analyzed and searched everything that could've been searched, but found absolutely nothing. The rushing current of the river successfully got rid off all the traces and even the best detective-android wouldn't find anything.

Finally came the morning when there was nothing left but to question Traci. The girl received a call to come to the station, she would arrive in half an hour and the android was sitting on pins and needles. He didn't know if he would have the strenght to look in her eyes at all. There were many memories associated with her, not neccessarily positive.

- Ey, youngster! -the man called out to him from the desk ahead – You sure you wanna do that? After all, they tore one of your people apart like she was a rag-doll, you can't be okay with that. I can always tell Folwer to put this entire case in his ass and that's all.

The Lieutenant wasn't a gentle kind of guy. Words about a rag-doll made Connor flinch. He didn't take a look at the man, just picked up on the computer screen instead.

-There's no need to, Lieutenant.- he answered coldly. He didn't want to open up and didn't even know what exactly to say anyway. The boy was scared to express his emotions in any kind of way becouse he felt he could lose control of them. The fact that they even existed was something new, becouse ,after all, not too long before he had been feeling absolutely nothing yet at all. Now every single little thing has been causing him emotions like happiness, iritation, amusement, melancholy, or frustration.

Honestly, he was a little scared of that.

-Is it what humans feel their entire lifes? - he thought with disbelief. He felt this way for less than a year and was tired of it.

Hank frowned and focused on his work on reports as well, feeling kind of offended. Apparently, he didn't expect such a coldness from Connor.

A phone ranged on Hank's desk.

-Yeah? - the man muttered through the handset – Very good. Coming.

He stood up, disconnecting.

- Come on, Connor!- he threw – She's here.

Say something - A Great Big World

The caramel eyes were devoid of any brigtness. Traci was staring at Connor with complete indifference, even reluctantly.

-Please, cooperate with me.

- Spare me. - said the girl with a voice so cold that it made Connor fall silent instantly - Ask of what you have to and let me go.

He had to behave professionally.

- Fine, as you wish. - he responded gently. On the other side of the glass were sitiing Hank and Gavin Reed, listening to what was happening

- Tell me then, how long ago did she dissapear? - he wanted to confirm the consistency of the girl's testimony with all the files.

- More or less than a month ago.

- Was there any strange or unusual behavior from her before?

-No, there wasn't.

- Are you sure? -he futher asked – Didn't she disappear from home unexpectedly before, receive strange messages, or change her habits?

- No.

- Did she take her phone?

- No, she left it. There wasn't anything strange on it. - Traci answered mechanically, with no emotions, continued to gaze at the tabletop straight ahead. She hadn't taken her eyes off it since he started asking questions.
