Kazuki’s fight against Aoyoma went by easily. All Kazuki had to do was dodge the lasers until Aoyoma succumbed to his own side effects and his stomach began to hurt. Once that happened, Kazuki knocked him out of the ring.
Next he was up against Fumikage Tokoyami and his quirk, dark shadow. Kazuki wasn't too worried since he had his explosions. The natural enemy to shadow was light. So Kazuki felt he had it in the bag. The only fight he was worried about was up against his brother.
“Im sorry if you get hurt Tokoyami,” Kazuki said as he stood in the ring. “But the one to go on and face my brother will be me.”
“You assume your brother will win against Kirishima already?” Tokoyami asked. “I thought you were friends.”
“Oh me and Red are friends,” Kazuki said as he stretched his arms and shoulders. “But I know my brother and his abilities all too well.”
“LET THE FIGHT BEGIN!” Midnight announced at the side of the ring. Kazuki was after Tokoyami in a second. He was halfway across the arena field before Tokoyami even released Dark Shadow. Kazuki dodged the shadow and let loose a couple explosions from his hands to make it back off. Kazuki was agile and nimble, even more so than Katsuki at times. Plus he also had the ability to think on his feet and make quick decisions. Kazuki dodged under Dark Shadow and headed straight for Tokoyami. Kazuki had to dodge dark shadow a couple times before he made it to Tokoyami. He suddenly had the bird head boy pinned and a ready to explode hand to his face.
“I concede,” Tokoyami said.
“Kazuki Bakugou is our winner!” Midnight called out.
“Hear that folks! One of the Bakugou twins won in a matter of minutes. Both seem to be doing well for themselves,” Present Mic announced.
Kazuki helped Tokoyami up. “Sorry Tokoyami, but you're honestly not much of a threat if someone gets by Dark Shadow. Maybe work on some close combat techniques?”
“That may be something I have to consider,” Tokoyami said with a bow of his head.
“Good match though,” Kazuki grinned. He walked with Tokoyami out of the arena and back up to the stands.
“Such good sportsmanship from Kazuki Bakugou!” Present Mic could be heard saying. Kazuki just rolled his eyes. Though in the hallway he passed his brother. He kept his head held high. He kept talking with Tokoyami as if Katsuki wasn’t even there. Though the two twins locked eyes for a moment. Kazuki was the one to look away. He took a seat near the front when they got back up to the Class 1-As section.
“So Its Bakugou against Kirishima next,” Todoroki said walking up next to him. “Who are you rooting for?”
“Doesn't matter who I am rooting for,” Kazuki said. “Katsuki will win. He has more determination to win than Red does.”
“You probably are not wrong there.” Todoroki said.
“Hey IcyHot,” Kazuki said. “Good luck against Izuku. He's another one with unwavering determination. I've never known him to just give up.”
“Whatever,” Todoroki said as he walked away. Kazuki chuckled lightly. The two toned boy had come all the way over basically just to check on him. He smiled as he sat down.
