As soon as their plane landed on the runway, the three of them headed to airport control. Whem they passed the large windows, Taehyung could see the outline of the Marrakesh lights in the distance that were just beginning to illuminate the city.

Taehyung smiled, as if without any effort. He was at that place, that special place in the world where he could be what he wanted, where there was no feeling of pain. The place where the other half of his soul was.

He quickly placed Tannie in the back seat of the car which was waiting for them in front, right next to Marissa, while he took the passenger seat. After telling the driver a few words with the address of a well-known hotel, his smile trembled around his lips again.

As they drove away, it began to fade slowly, turning into a kind of shadow, a tired shadow that no one seemed to need anymore.

The next half hour passed in almost pure silence, occasionally they could barely hear the radio and the oriental tones of Moroccan music. All that reminded the man immeasurably of the past, which was constantly running through his head.

He couldn't deny that he was followed by some strange feeling, as if he knew that this might be the last time the past would flash before his eyes like some kind of comet of memory.

Very quickly they found themselves in the hotel room which Taehyung booked for Tannie and Marissa. The staff brought in their bags and then very quickly they had dinner in her room, like a real family.

Taehyung had to admit that this really looked nice, the time with his son was priceless. He knew that in a few years he would definitely regret not spending more time with him, but he couldn't get the time back.

This was that moment he wanted to keep for himself and forever to remember.

This was that moment when a person realizes the life is fleeting and that maybe he will never be in the same place with the same people around him again.

- Tannie, son, go wash your hands and get ready for bed. This was a tiring journey. Mom will have a little chat with dad, so I'll come too. - Marissa spoke while unpacking some necessary things.

- Ok, mom. Good night dad! - the boy ran to his father with outstretched arms and planted a kiss on his cheek. Taehyung's smile bloomed on his face again and he almost had to hold back from shedding a tear because of the tenderness he felt at that moment.

The boy very quickly disappeared behind the bedroom door, while the two remained in the apartment's living room.

While he was standing by the window of her hotel room, the thought came to him that he should tell her everything right away and how days without Jungkook were able to eat him completely, and not only nights.

His will weakened, his head was cloudy, maybe if only he had been a shade braver, none of this would have happened as it is.

- Tae... - Marissa spoke, when she found herself facing him, next to the hotel window.

- I... think I should go to my room... good night... - Taehyung spoke, ready to head for the door, while silently cursing the lack of courage in him. He pressed his lips into a stern line, but before he could take a step, the woman's hand rested on his wrist.

Marissa stopped him in his tracks.

- Can we talk for a while, Taehyung?

- Umm... yes, of course... is it about Tannie? - he asked, because all their conversations for years were about their son and his illness or his school. It's been a long time since the two ex-spouses talked openly about other things. That's why it was very strange for Taehyung when she answered with a soft 'no'. He looked at her curiously as she continued.
