That morning, when he got back to the hotel, Taehyung couldn't hide the huge smile that bloomed on his face. He made sure to let Marissa know that he would be staying for a few more days, saying that Oman's family wanted to host him. Along the way he asked about Tannie and his rose.

The man was sorry that he had to lie to his family, but he didn't feel guilty about what he did last night. He gave himself and Marissa five years to renew their relationship, to love her, but it was all in vain.

Marissa was a good wife and mother, but he never loved her. He married only at the persuasion of his parents.

He had long since given up hope and faith in Jungkook seeing him again, let alone kissing him. Now that he had finally tasted happiness again, there was no way he was going to let it go.

Taehyung believed in them.

He believed that now, after so many years of pain and suffering, he and Jungkook would be able to pick up where they left off on that beautiful May.

As soon as he parked the car, Nadira came out with her hand over her large stomach. As she slowly walked towards him, the silk around her fluttered in the wind and the jewelry jingled.

She got closer and when Jungkook could look into her eyes that he noticed they were red, from crying, he guessed.

- Jungkook! Where have you been? - it was an honest question to which he had no answer. She continued.

- Dad told me that you fainted yesterday when you went to pay your respects to Mr. Oman. Since then you've been gone! - he blinked several times and then without saying a word he started towards the door of the house, he didn't want her to see his true state.

- Dad called several times to check on you, I didn't know what to tell him! I said you were sleeping and resting. Where were you? Do you think it's ok to leave me pregnant all night to worry? - she didn't stop. And Jungkook already had a headache. He was sleepless, too tired and used, the only thing he could think about was the shower and the bed.

- Sorry Nadira, I know it's not ok. I needed some time to be alone. I went outside the city to the desert...

- Out of town?! Jungkook! I don't know what that place means so much to you! - he looked across his furrowed brows. His tongue hit the inside of his cheek to prevent him from saying something he didn't mean.

That place was everything to Jungkook. He had brought him there for the first time five years ago, and many times he had been there alone with his thoughts, and now he had finally renewed love with him in that same place.

- Just let me sleep, we'll talk later, okay? - the question came out of his mouth when he bent down and kissed Nadira's stomach before entering the house.

__________

It was late afternoon when Jungkook joined Nadira in the dining room for lunch.

Ali prepared the most varied food, along with fresh fruit, which Jungkook always personally made sure was in the house in large quantities.

He rubbed his eyes when he saw a woman leaning back in a leather chair reading a newspaper.

- Oh good morning, Jungkook. - it wasn't morning, they both knew, and the man couldn't help but notice a slightly mocking tone in her soft voice.

He was silent.

- I'm looking at the jewelry ad section in the newspaper, dear. You know, I haven't received a present from you in a long time. - the statement immediately caught his eye. As soon as he took a sip of juice from the table, he spoke.
