Sixteen years later
"Melanie, where's the report I asked you to hand in this morning?"
"Here," she pulled it out of the pile of documents she was carrying around the hospital, "Sorry, I was caught up with a patient and it completely slipped my mind."
"It's fine, don't worry about it," Sarah sent her a reassuring smile. "I know I've been a bit demanding lately, I'm trying to prove to the board they won't regret appointing me High Healer."
"It's been a few years, I think they're quite convinced," said Melanie, her assistant. She was standing in Sarah home office next to a pile almost as tall as she was. But Melanie wasn't very tall. She compensated it with her competence which is why Sarah appreciated her greatly.
"Oh, Augustus," Sarah turned to him, he was also part of the meeting. "I'll need you to take charge of my procedures during the first of September, so I can see the children off."
"Right on." He nodded and wrote something on his notepad.
"Look at you, embracing motherhood," Josie chuckled. She was a gifted Healer, the contagious diseases expert and had become one of Sarah's friends.
The door to her office flew right open and two children ran in. "Speaking of," Sarah opened her arms to hug them.
Fred ran in next, "Sorry, love," he smiled apologetically.
"We were almost done," Sarah assured him then looked down at Aaron and Lyana, "Have you packed your bags to sleep over at Annie's tonight?"
Aaron and his sister stared wide eyed at her, "But you said we weren't allowed anymore since last week's glue prank."
They had glued all her high heel shoes to the floor, she had to spend the day at the hospital in flip flops.
"You let me wrap up this important meeting and I'll reconsider," said Sarah promisingly.
"YES!" Aaron and Lyana both cheered and ran up to their rooms. They would do anything to spend their time with Annie, George and Selena's youngest, a year older than the twins. Fred shook his head fondly as he watched them run away and stepped inside.
"Hello, Mr Weasley," Melanie waved at him sheepishly before disappearing behind the stack of documents she was carrying.
"Hello to you all," he waved at people around the room, "How's my wife treating you?"
"Splendid," Melanie wheezed as she dropped the papers to her feet, she finally realized she was witch and could make them levitate.
"You're really leaving us for a week during our busiest season?" another expert commented, she could have sworn there was some judgment to his voice.
Sarah had a stack of papers to sign and procedures to approve for the week, so she made them levitate one by one while she signed and answered without looking at them, "Aaron and Lyana are starting school, it's an all hands on deck situation. I'm delegating the work evenly, would you like to tell me what you would do differently?"
"You wouldn't last a week in her position, mate," Augustus sneered at him.
Everyone bit down their smiles and exchanged amused looks at his scowling expression.
Still preoccupied with her paperwork, Sarah spoke with poise, "I'm still your boss, Healer Maxwell. I'm actually looking over your patients' diagnosis right now. Do you really think Belladonna was necessary to treat a Pixie bite?" she read forward, "Interesting, Mister Hoppin has been admitted for the third time in your care, perhaps I shall transfer him to someone else—"
