Bruce nodded in understanding as I spoke. "So what? You want to save him?"
I stayed silent for a while, unsure if I could trust this guy. "I'm not sure if I'm the right person for that job but... I'd like to try."
His lips turned upwards slightly. "That's heroic of you."
I rolled my eyes, "Heroes don't help the villains - only the ones that can help them."
"Not all heroes!" Bruce argued.
"Maybe... but most."
He stayed quiet, realising there was no argument to that. Banner walked back over to his counter and began working again so I turned my attention back down to Hope.
Maybe I could give him white wings. Even though rocket boosters would be much more practical, it seemed so fitting for his name.
Hope is the beauty with delicate white feathers that perches in the soul. It is a pure, angelic gift. It is the faith we are given in our darkest moments of need that drags us through unnerving tunnels and out into the shining light of better days. It is a hero fighting for the safety and mental peace of others.
...
Rocket boosters it is!

Time skip so it doesn't get repetitive :D
~~~Sirens blared, deafening anyone unlucky enough to be under them.
"SUIT UP!"
I heard Captain America shout as he ran through the corridors. Bruce put everything down and rushed out the lab door. Chaos erupted in the corridors, people leaving their stations and S.H.I.E.L.D agents rushing around to get their job done. The avengers were rushing past one-by-one and all meeting up again in a smaller ship known as the "vessel".
Here we go again.
I felt a major rush of déjà vu from the last time Cap was running through the corridors in a panic.
I couldn't stop myself as curiosity told me to follow behind.
I dropped everything and went rushing out the door to follow Dr Banner but just as I turned down the corridor Nick Fury stepped out in front of me, forcing me to stop.
"Haha... Director Fury..." I grinned, scratching the back of my neck awkwardly.
"Where do you think you're going?" looking down on me, he snarled.
"I can help them! I've been working on something and-" I began to explain.
He interrupted me, "Go back to the lab."
I rolled my eyes, turning and walking back into the lab. I waited until Fury had passed by before exiting again, running down the corridor and jumping onto the vessel just in time.
All the avengers turned to me as the the doors closed. "Hey..." I looked around at them awkwardly.
"What are you doing here, Lady Paige?" Thor asked. He was stood at the side speaking with Banner.
I lifted my goggles off my eyes and pulled out my most recent creation, showing it to them all. "This is Hope... I made him in the lab and-"
"You shouldn't be here." Rogers spoke.
What was it with people interrupting me today?
"I know but we've already set off now and if we turn back you might not get there in time." I shrugged, dropping down onto one of the seats.
