A/N: HELLO!! Thank you so much to everyone who waited for this.
I appreciate your patience more than anything and Im very sorry I kept you all waiting xx
I finished my other story so this is now my priority: one chapter every week from now on until the end 🫶🏻

30 minutes later, we landed. Just as I expected.
Eventually, Tony had agreed to give me $100k and a room in the avengers tower with an unlimited budget.
"Pay up." I joked as we step off the final step.
He scoffed before pulling out his wallet and handing over a credit card. "I lied, I dont havé the cash." He admitted but I wasnt about to complain. "Want to go for a fly?" Stark suggested.
I glanced back at the jet, "But we just-"
"No, I mean," he lifts his hand up and I watch as one of the briefcases his staff was carrying fell open. Different parts of a red and gold suit came flying out and clinging to his body. "Ouch!" He seethed when the metal hit his head a bit too hard. He turned to me, moving oddly as he adjusted to the sudden restricted movement. "Want to go for a fly?" From his tone I just knew he was smirking under that helmet.
I nodded, moving close and clinging onto the suit. "You won't drop me right?" I asked, suddenly feeling nervous.
He shrugged, "You won't let go right?"
I gulped, tightening my grip moments before he rocketed us up into the air. "AHHHH!" I screamed, the wind making it difficult for me to keep a firm grip onto the metal suit.
Eventually, we touched down onto Avengers rooftop. My eyes were tightly closed as I waited until I had adjusted to the ground beneath me.
"You can let go now." He said, obvious frustration in his voice.
I let go, putting both arms out to help me balance.
"How do you do that so easily!?" I questioned, finally feeling like I could walk properly.
"You'll get used to it." He said simply, suit disappearing as he walked inside.
I followed close behind.
"Right- so this is what's going to happen," Tony began explaining how I was meant to act but my thoughts were elsewhere. I was completely zoned out, paying much more attention to our surroundings than whatever words were spilling from Starks mouth, "-got that?" He finished, snapping my attention back to him.
"Sorry?" I tilted my head only slightly.
He sighed, "Forget it. Just don't do anything stupid."
I nodded, not fully trusting myself when it came down to not doing anything stupid.
I wondered when I'd meet the rest of the avengers... if I ever did. I wondered if I'd have the joy of working with Dr Banner or if I'd have my own lab. I wondered if I could ever fight alongside earths mightiest heroes although- that was probably a stretch. I wondered about so many possibilities and those possibilities just kept growing.
We stopped outside a rather large door.
"Dr Banner will also be working in here. Don't disturb his work." Tony explained to me which felt more like a threat.
Well- that's one less thought gone and a million more to consider.
I nodded, watching as he opened the door and let me in.
