227. Required Speed For Poetry

I'm trying to go slow
Be purposeful and heartfelt
But I wish to go fast
With ideas so plenty
One need to work quick
So they don't scatter to the wind
Get forgotten ignored
But in quickness
One lacks understanding
Feelings pass by and are written
But so often yet go misunderstood
What good is it to write
Unappreciated feelings over and over
Writing for the sake of venting
And not for the sake of clarity
Is pointless writing in the end
The perfect speed
Is difficult to find
On one hand the ability to find
Ideas and keep them there
Requires speed
On the other hand the ability to feel
Is squandered by that same speed
So one must slow down
In order to find what they mean
One day I'd like to find the line
Until then these ideas will not get left behind
