Penda POV
Flying to the palace, I hear Valtors laughs, flying to the top, I see the broken wall he blasted through.
Holding the Golden Heart he drains every last bit of magic causing the heart to fall and break.
The guards that once were meant to defend the heart are fighting with each other making tears of rage fall down my face.
"Valtor! You will pay!"
Blasting him, he deflects it with ease. Using his newfound magic he shoots a wave of dark emotions, knocking me down I land roughly on the ground.
Cracking the earth, I gasp feeling weak. A figure steps out of the dust, "S-Sefu?"
Seeing him with his sword drawn he aims his blade at me, as rage fills his eyes.
"If it wasn't for you...she would be here."
My eyes widen, but he continues, "This wouldn't be happening, she would still be here!"
As the blade rests against my neck, I swallow my tears, "Sefu, please, don't do this."
Trying to back away, he follows my movements, seeing Valtor not too far he chuckles darkly, "Not so powerful now. Here allow me to help!"
Aiming he tries to blast my brother, I move quickly, "DON'T HURT HIM!"
Pushing him out of the way, not caring that his blade cuts me, I take the blast straight to the chest. The pain quickly fades as my last breath fills the air. Falling, the distant shouts fade away.
Am I dying?
Am I dead?
I...I don't want to go.
Penda
A kind voice calls out to me, "Penda my beautiful daughter."
Through the darkness, I see her, "Mom?"
She smiles at me brightly, holding me close, "This is not the end of your story, allow me to aid you, my beautiful heart."
Then I feel a surge of power, as light surrounds me, I feel her warmth as I transform. My wings bloom as a crown of flowers and silver beads rest on my head. My long locs bind and tie back, resting high on the back of my head.
Taking the sky, wings becoming one with the wind, specs of light shine through the dark skies and storms.
Power fills my voice, feeling loved and strong as my mother's presence rests behind me.
"I will not allow you to take my home, not now and not ever."
The light burns him but I don't stop as I use my abilities, the powers passed down through my family.
"The heart of the magical dimension will not die today. It will shine for as long as my blood flows!"
Pouring my magic in my hands, a golden light shines, holding it to the sky a heart of white and gold form. Pain fills my chest as I pour every last bit of my magic into it. I don't care about the pain, for my kingdom, for my people I would walk through fire and through rain.
The light beams to the sky, clearing the sky and stunning the hatred that once spread through my world. Feeling strained I keep going, my heart in my hand, I won't lose, but this is all that I got.
Tears fall from my eyes as I see my mother's soul place her hand on the heart. She smiles at me brightly, "I'm so proud of you."
Pouring her magic in the heart it grows stronger. One with the heart, I feel whole, I feel amazing.
My eyes glow blinding my passionate rage, as the sun aligns with the heart I give my final command to the Trix and Valtor.
"You are banished from my world, from my home, and from this corner of the magic dimension. Your final day will come, and when it does the Winx will be there to watch you fall."
With my final warning, a blast of light consume them transporting them and forbidding them from the corners of my home.
The sun shines down on me again, flying to the ground, I'm surrounded by the girls and Noa. My Father, getting aid from a guard limps over to us but my attention is fixed on the heart. Letting it merge with me, I whisper as tears of joy fall.
"I will be the heart of Upendo. Me and Mother."
Father stands before me, eyes watering he holds me. I feel at ease returning it as the faded connection strengthens in a matter of seconds. Letting him go, I look at Sefu, as if he woke up from a bad dream regret and sorrow fill his gaze.
Walking over I hug him, not needing a single word to understand and accept his apology.
"Penda!"
Layla hugs me, "You earned your Enchantix!"
Stella smiles, "You totally beat Valtors butt!"
I chuckle softly, only to get pulled away. In Nora's arms, I blush looking up at him he smiles, "You can't worry me like that."
Flushed I speak softly, "Sorry."
My people cheer, chanting Winx for our victory and their safety. Standing by their side I still feel alert, I may have restored my kingdom but Valtor still has a piece of what the heart once was.
It may not be as powerful, but it still strengthened him.
It's still an issue. Even in this time of celebration, I must stay alert.
While everyone else was getting ready to leave receiving gifts from my Father in thanks I stand before Mother's grave.
All those moments talking to her, telling her about my life. She heard it all, she was by my side the whole time.
Placing my hand on my chest, I smile softly, eyes watering.
"I didn't mean those words."
Sefu stands by my side, continuing to speak softly, "I once felt that way, until I saw you for the first time. When you were a baby."
The wind blew, carrying his words, "You were so tiny, you looked so much like her. That day when you reached out to hold my hand. I vowed to protect you."
I smile softly, leaning my head on his shoulder, "Now I can protect you too."
For the first time, I see his smile, it's warm and caring making me whisper, "You look like her too."
This makes him relax, "Really? No one thinks that."
I chuckle, "Because they've never seen Moms smile."
Being able to say that fills me with joy, feeling complete for the first time in a long time.
