Penda POV
After a while of studying, and hanging out with my the girls. Classes came and went with new adventures at every turn.
From saving the nymphs in the pound to the search for Bloom deep within the forest. The Trix continued to go after her and torment us. Sadly, Merda the good witch as I like to call her was turned into a pumpkin.
Something viscous but I promised to help her alongside Flora.
The Trix never stopped, sending a beast to eat and feast on our darkest fears. If it wasn't for Kiko, we don't know what would have happened. But enough of that, today is a normal day, no classes thankfully.
Today particularly, Stella is nowhere to be found. Bloom marches over to get Stella to study, angry that she lied to us.
Stella is unapologetic, telling us the dire reason she couldn't attend, a beauty pageant. Sitting in Stella's room, she begs us to help and we of course agree.
With the promise that she has to study for the test, we help her prep. As night falls we arrive at the event location. In her dressing room, we prep her, hearing a girl wail and cry we peak from the corner.
I step forward, "What happened?"
Looking at me with tear-stained eyes she whimpers, "My hair! Look what happened to my hair!"
Explaining the situation to me, I smile, "Your hair looks beautiful."
Walking over to her, I hold her hand, "May I help you style it?"
Looking at her and her friend she nods, I look back at the girls.
"I'll be back!"
They nod, and Stella doesn't seem to mind either. Walking to her dressing room, I sit her down. Placing my hand on her shoulders, I smile, "Now, let's embrace your beauty."
Moisturizing her hair, her friends help her relax, going over her routine. Parting her hair, I braid the front, even, each braid leads to a beautiful afro. Fluffing it, and detangling it, I reveal the look.
"What do you think?"
She gasps before a bright smile spreads across her face, "It's perfect!"
Feeling proud I pick up some of her pins, as she gets changed into a beautiful green gown I add the white flowers.
Twirling she looks at me with enthusiasm, "How can I ever thank you!"
I hold her hand, "Just try your best out there, show everyone your beauty, inner and out."
Smiling at her and her friend I leave, meeting with the girls in the audience. As the girls get introduced, we comfort Stella at the obvious crowd favorite of contestant 10.
Returning to the crowd, each girl introduces there talents. Most fail in the weirdest way, seeing the beauty who I helped earlier, Destiny. Pulling out her Saxophone, she seems a bit nervous wishing her Luck she plays beautifully.
Until her Saxophone begins to hiccup. Looking in the crowd nervously, the judge allows her to restart. Something is off, tapping my feet I lift the curse on her interment allowing her to play freely.
And even as the floors below start to form cracks she moves swiftly enjoying herself as she does. Finished the audience applauds. As Stella performs, I clap along with the crowd.
As the coronation begins, Miss Lucy wins, contestant 10. Only for the illusion to wither to show her true form. My heart breaks at her tears as she runs off.
As the runner-up, contestant 15 wins, Destiny.
I smile, cheering for her, as sad Stella as is, she congratulates her. Comforting Stella, I don't fail to leave a bouquet of roses for Destiny, wishing her well.
