Penda POV

We of course get punished, for weakening the barrier to confirm the dark magic over Sky. We're bound to the school punished and more.

But things don't end, as a letter is sent to Faragonda, a letter from my kingdom asking for my return and aid.

In the office with the girls, I faze out, knowing Valtor is after the Golden Heart of Upendo. The center of our safety and power of my world and kingdom.

If collected and harnessed it could allow control over the hearts of any and all beings across the magic dimension. Due to Valtor stopping and leaving chaos in many more worlds, it's no surprise that mine is next.

Being allowed to leave, I remain silent as Noa lands the Red Falcon carrier. My silence must worry the others causing Stella to sit by my side.

"Don't worry Penda, everything is going to be ok."

Looking at her I nod, still not saying much. Looking out the window, the trip is long but once I see the clear skies and black birds with golden-edged feathers I know I'm home.

Landing I step off the ship only to be tackled by Chiku.

"Princess Penda you've returned"

Helping me stand and dusting me off she talks fast and quickly, "I'm glad you could return safely! Are these your friends? OOOOO IS THIS NOA!"

Walking around she introduces herself asking questions and chatting up a storm making Flora giggle.

I can't help but smile, only to hear my name being called, "Penda."

Looking to see my brother again, I stand before him. The royal guards flanking behind him, he looks at me and my friends sternly.

"Thank you for coming on short notice. Please allow me to take you to the throne room."

He looks at the cheerful maid, "Chiku, help my sister change. She must fit the part as the future Queen."

Before I can protest Chiku rushes me off, knowing better than to disobey him. Looking at the others once last time, I get rushed off into my room.

Helping me change, I can't help but feel nervous seeing my Father. A man that has faded away and I barely see.

Changing into the white and golden dress the guards escort me and Chiku to the throne room. Announced, I step through the large doors.

My Father sits on his royal throne with a portrait of my passed mother above. Looking at her I can't help but feel at ease.

But it only lasts a moment.

Standing by my friends while Noa resides by my brother, I look into my Fathers's strict and tired eyes, "My daughter, I'm glad you've returned home."

I nod, "It's good to see you as well, these are my friends, Bloom, Stella, Musa, Tecna, Flora, and Layla. And my boyfriend Noa. They have aided me through my journey in Alfea, I trust them more than the winds themselves."

His eyes narrow a bit, "Strong words."

"But true."

He hums, "Night will fall, Chiku will escort them to their rooms. Our defenses are strong and will hold for the night. We will discuss the battle plan in the morning."

They bow, allowing me to stand tall as I look at my Father and then the portrait of my Mother. As the guards flank me, returning to my room I am once more alone.

Silence fills the space, the only thing I never missed of my home.

Then there's a knock on my door. Stella pokes her head in, "Princess Penda, we are here to speak with you."

Slipping inside Musa speaks in a teasing voice, "Never met a royal so strict."

Flora smiles, "I hope you don't mind a sleep over~"

Flushed I smile softly, "Sounds amazing."

Watching the others pour in, Bloom smiles, "Stella if you will~"

Stella snaps her fingers transforming us into stylish and comfortable pajamas.

The night is filled with laughter and music, most likely making the palace shake. Even in these times of darkness, they always find a way to make me smile.

When morning comes, we return to the throne room. With my brother and father ready to explain the plan of protecting the heart.

My Brother, with little magic, projects a holographic image of the kingdom, and where the heart is located.

The heart is at the peak of the palace, in a hidden room so its magic may shine and spread throughout the planet.

He continues, "The heart was the first and final creation of the Great Dragon. Its love for creating the magical dimension, for pouring its essence into every corner of the vast dimension, is the Golden Heart. The first Queen of Upendo protected this heart and became the first Fairy of Love. Throughout generations, the heart has grown more powerful and protected the hearts of our people and many more."

Hearing the history brings joy to my heart, the legacy of my people. But to know it could get taken away leaves me determined. Bloom speaks up, "We have dealt with more evil plans than I can count, we can take it from here."

He looks down at Bloom, looking at me for confirmation I nod making him speak, "Very well, I'm placing my Kingdom in your hands."

Ordering the guards back to their stations we step outside the palace grounds, transforming, we take the skies.

Looking and ready for any signs of Valtor and the Trix.

Hearing an explosion in the city we fly off to find the Trix waiting for us.

Darcy laughs as she shoots down the guards destroying the buildings where they stand. I frown, "STOP!"

Flying down I shoot her, "Cupids Arrow!"

Shooting the illusion I look around only to get knocked down by her true form. With Stella and Layla in their final form, they protect the citizens while the rest aid me in taking down the Trix.

Then the sky darkens, and the once peaceful birds I adore begin attacking each other. The once-kind citizens fight, loot, attacking each other with hatred and rage.

I whimper, looking at the burning palace, "No..."
