There is a board covered with a sheet. "Scratch, we need your help with the most important question of our life!" Molly gets close to Scratch, who is laying in a web hammock, and shakes him. "Who will be our best friend?" Molly asked. "And don't be offended. You'll always be our number one." (Y/n) said. "I'm cursed with you two. We are NOT friends." Scratch said. "But we need a human bestie! You know, for human stuff." Molly said. "Physically impossible for me to care less!" Scratch said. (Y/n) pulls off a sheet revealing a black board with pictures of three girls. "So, we've narrowed it down to three amazing candidates: Libby, Sheela and Kat." She said. "And you know, they're all so different on paper, but guess what they have in common." Molly said. "That I don't care about any of them?" Scratch asked. "They are all Wilder Scouts! And we're going camping tonight! Five strong female trailblazers in the wilderness. This is how you make lifelong friends, Scratch!" Molly said. (Y/n) moves around the room excitedly.

"We'll probably sit together at lunch, then be roommates in college, run for political office on a shared platform. I mean, we're basically choosing a future leader of our nation here!" She said. "Camping? No, not happening. Besides, why are you so obsessed with this friend thing anyway? I don't have any best friends and I'm-" A male ghost appears behind Scratch making him fall from his hammock. "Scratch!" He picks up Scratch from the floor and hugs him tightly. "Oh, my best friend of friends!" He said. "You were saying?" Molly asked. Scratch tries to escape the ghost hug. "This guy? Ah, no, no. Uh, he's not a friend. He's more like an annoying coworker." He said. "Hi, I'm Geoff." He shakes Molly's hand, then (Y/n)'s. "G-E-O-F-F." He said. "Nobody's spelling it, Geoff." Scratch said. " Not to be confused with Jeff. J-E-F-F." Geoff said. "No one's writing this down! What are you even doing here?" Scratch asked. "Well, you promised we'd hang! Today! The second Saturday of "Never"! Geoff pulls out a calendar. "Seems...doctored. Ok, whatever. Listen, I gotta rescheduled anyways 'cause I got a lotta balls in the air right now!" Scratch fixes his hammock and lies on it again. "Scratch! That's no way to treat your best friend." (Y/n) scolded. "Geoff, come camping with us. We're gonna roast marshmallows, learn about nature, tell scary stories..." Molly said. "Ooh! What kind of scary we're talking about here?" Scratch asked.

"Uh, so scary! 'Cause we got bugs, fire, wolves, bears and..." (Y/n) said. "Keep talking." Scratch said. "Pit toilets..." Molly said. "Hmm...I could really pad this month's scare report." Scratch said. "Oh! That sounds like fun!" Geoff said. "You're not invited!" Scratch said. "Right..." Geoff winks. "Ugh, could be a long weekend..." Scratch said. The campers pass a sign where one of the letters fall, hitting a bird and killing it. Once in the campsite, the campers start to unload their equipment. "All right, ladies. Go get your camping badge or whatever we're doing here." The Camp Counselor said. She then shots the van's door close and stays inside. "So, does, uh, anyone know anything about setting a campsite or...lifelong friendships or...?" Molly asked. Libby shows up carrying a heavy bag. "Not me. I'm only here because my mom said that exposure to fresh air and kids my age would help me—"

Libby accidentally swallows a butterfly, making her fall back with the heavy bag. She then coughs it out. "I'm good!" Kat helps Libby stand up. "The key to a cozy campfire is location. I think we should set camp...here!" She said. "We're losing daylight! Kat, you find the flint. Molly and (Y/n), you gather firewood. And Libby... Stay upright... " Sheela said. Molly and (Y/n) walk towards the forest and find Scratch eating berries. "SCRATCH! You can't eat those berries! They're poisonous!" Molly said. "You know he's already dead, right?" (Y/n) asked. "Oh, right..." Molly said. "So, how's the friend hunt going?" Scratch asked. "Not bad!" Molly pulls out a notebook with a chart in it. "These scorecards have everything we're looking for in our best friend! Creativity, smarts, generosity, a deep passion for fuzzy sock, leadership, and most importantly: the X-Factor!" She said. "Wow, that's pretty...Oh, you know what, I don't care." Scratch said, walking away. "Wait! Don't you wanna know what the X-Factor is?" Molly asked. "Nope!" Scratch said. "Well, it's indescribable anyways!" (Y/n) said.
