At the school's cafeteria. Andrea is live showing an "Announcements" board. "Check this out! A talent show! AKA, another chance to share my incredible gifts with you, my devoted Fawn-dreas!" She said. Molly and (Y/n) are eating their lunch. Scratch who's hiding inside (Y/n)'s lunch box, opens it. "A talent show?! Oh, this is gonna be the best day of my afterlife!" He said. "What- really? You're into talent shows? Doesn't seem like your type of thing, Scratch." Molly said. "Molly, you could not be more wrong if you tried. I love talent shows! You see, in the Ghost World, they're the gold standard for misery." Scratch said. "Of course..." (Y/n) said. "I mean, look, you got your stage fright, you got backstage meltdowns, your face plants and forgotten lyrics... and then there's always someone whose confidence is so huge, it crushes everybody else!" Scratch said. Kat, is practicing with a yo-yo for the talent show. "Aww, so cute...that you think of that as a talent!" Andrea said. Kat stops and almost starts to cry. "See?!" Scratch asked. "Kat, I love yo-yo tricks!" Molly said.

"Me too! And I can't wait to see you perform!" (Y/n) said. "Your positivity is exhausting." Scratch said. "Ohh, the Talent Show sign-up sheet is up." Libby said. "Yep. And everybody's got a talent to share." Molly said. "What's yours, Libby?" (Y/n) asked. "Oh, no, no, no, no, (Y/n). I have no talent. But I do like to help out backstage." While she is talking, Libby doesn't realize she wrote her name in the "Talent" list instead of "Tech" list in the sheet. "I mean, sure, I admire the bravery of those kids who face the blinding spotlight, but with all my anxieties that is definitely not--AAHH!" She screamed. "What? What's wrong?" Molly asked. "I- I signed up on the wrong list! In pen!" Libby said. "Yes!" Scratch said. "I-I'll just cross it out.. Huh?!" The sheet isn't on the wall anymore, Libby notices that one of the teachers took it. "I gotta get that sign-up sheet back!" Libby said. "Whoa whoa whoa whoa, Libby! Don't you see? This was no accident!" (Y/n) said. "It wasn't?" She asked. "No! This was your subconscious telling you that you actually want to perform." Molly said. "Yeah, deep down, you know you have a talent and you want to share it!" (Y/n) said. "Well, I guess I can, uh, sing?" Libby asked. "Huh?! You sing?! How did we not know this?!" Molly asked. After school, Molly and (Y/n) go to Libby's home to hear her singing voice.

I have a voice, Hear my battle cry, The spotlights blind me And my fears confine me!♪

As Libby sings, Molly and (Y/n) are stunned while Scratch is amused; outside, different animals react to Libby's terribly out of tune voice. Some try to hide while others cover their ears. "Guys? Why are you looking at me like that?" Libby asked. The twins are both shocked and horrified by Libby's singing. "Stee-rike! Misery is back in the game, folks!" Scratch said. "Oh, no. You hate it!" Libby said. "No, no, no. That's not it!" Molly said. "Um, to be honest, we thought it was, um... " (Y/n) said. "Awful? Atrocious? Appalling?" Scratch asked. "Um, awesome!" Molly and (Y/n) said in sync. "Really, you liked it?" Libby asked. "We've never heard anything like it!" Molly said. "All right, that's true." Scratch said, and (Y/n) nudged him roughly. "Ow!" Scratch glared at her. "You know, you two, knowing you think I can do it makes me think I really can do it!" Libby said. "Oh, she really can't! She's going to be a disaster!" Scratch said. (Y/n) face palms. "Yeah... Yeah." Molly said. After lying to Libby about her singing, Molly and (Y/n) head home to try and find ways of telling her the truth without hurting her.

"Oh! Libby's going to humiliate herself in front of the entire school! How do we stop this?" Molly asked. Scratch was eating some chips. "You can't! You either let your friend humiliate herself in front of the whole school, which is a solid option, or you crush your friend with brutal honesty." He said. "Is there a "tender honesty" option we're overlooking?" (Y/n) asked. "Nope! All honesty is brutal." Scratch said. "Gee, thanks, Scratch. You're really helping us out here." (Y/n) said sarcastically as she glared at him. "No problem." He said back with the same amount of sarcasm. (Y/n) rolled her eyes and looked away from him. Molly groans and accidentally sits on Scratch's chips. "Okay, Okay, Okay. Think , think. Hey! How about this? If the music industry has taught us anything, it's that a little studio magic can make anyone a star!" Molly said.
