"I can't wait for the Global Games. They enhappify the whole world all at once!" Molly said. "Okay, but do we really need 26 boxes of Coconut Yim‐Yums?" Sharon asked. "It's the official snack cake of the Global Games, Mom." (Y/n) said. "Yeah, Sharon, it's what the athletes eat!" Pete agreed. "Mm‐hmm!" Darryl also agreed. "Okay. But just a couple boxes. I don't need anybody going‐-" Sharon began. The customers are rioting. They're grabbing everything in reach and panicking. The McGees are bewildered. "...Crazy?" Sharon finished. A clerk screams as a crowd of people attack her. "What's going on...?" Molly asked. "Everyone's panicking! Should we panic? I'm panicking! I'm totally panicking!" Pete says the last part over a PA system. He runs to the crowd and jumps into it. The clerk crawls away. "Excuse me? What's going on here?" Sharon asked. "What are you, new in town? It's the curse of the Ice Princess!"

The clerk said. Patty dashes in with a shopping cart, knocking over a man in the process. "Oh, that's just a myth. But the ice storm's real, and it's a‐comin'! Every four years, like clockwork!" She runs off. "You'd better stock up before the storm hits. Which reminds me..." the clerk said. Pete victoriously holds up a roll of toilet paper. "Yes!" He said. The clerk pounces on him and yells. A can rolls towards the others and Darryl picks it up. (Y/n), Sharon and Molly are shocked and they all run off in a panic. The family rushes inside, holding bags of food and Pete having a roll of toilet paper in his mouth. Scratch flies into one of the bags. "Canned peas? Potted meat? Where are my coconut Yim‐Yums?!" Scratch asked. "We're lucky we got anything. Everyone's freaking out over this storm!" (Y/n) said.

"Not just any storm, (Y/n). The Curse of the Ice Princess!" Darryl said the last part in a fake spooky voice. "You heard Patty. That's just a myth." Sharon said. "Nah, she's real." Scratch said with his mouth full. "Wha?!" The family asked. "Oh. I see you haven't heard of the Ice Princess. I mean, why would you? She was just some pathetic figure skater." Scratch said. ""Figure skater"?" Pete asked. "Back before the internet, when everything was boring, people watched dumb stuff like figure skating. Sonia Davis was the Ice Princess! A local girl from Brighton made good, blah blah blah. She went all the way to the Global Games. And she was going for the gold when she fell on her last, uh... ...spinny thing." Scratch said. "It was a triple axel." Pete corrected. "That's what I said." Scratch said. "No it wasn't." (Y/n) said, and Molly snickers. "Whatever. She lost her medal, her career, and her left skate‐‐ We're talkin' epic humiliation!

And now every four years during the Global Games, her ghost haunts Brighton Pond. Causes a huge storm, shuts down the entire city." Scratch explained. "Poor Sonia." (Y/n) said with sympathy. "Yeah. It must be hard reliving the worst moment of your life over and over again... Beating yourself up for not landing that one big jump... I mean, you're basically landing blind on the edge of a knife!" Pete said. The others stare at Pete, confused and shocked, and he chuckles nervously. "...Is, what I imagine she's feeling right now. Right?" He asked. Sonia is skating on the pond. She spins, yells and shoots icicles, which hit Scratch, knock one of his eyes out and make holes in his ectoplasm. "Ow! Hey! You know, I may be dead but that still hurts!" He shouted. Sonia turns into her normal form. "Uh, Miss Davis?" Molly asked. Sonia kicks snow into Molly's face. "Hi. My name is Molly McGee, and this is my twin sister (Y/n). We're proud Brightonian, decorated Wilder Scouts, and as you can see by our ectoplasmic BFF, a good friend to ghosts!" She said. Darryl helps Scratch gets his eye back in.

"Hello, Molly and (Y/n). NOW OFF MY ICE! I only get it every four years and my routine needs to be perfect!" Sonia said. "Right, about that... Um, every time you skate, you create a huge ice storm in Brighton." (Y/n) said. "Yeah, so knock it off! You lost, lady! Get on with your afterlife already!" Scratch shouted. Sonia turns around furious, and she pins Scratch to a post with icicles. "I deserved that." He said. "You don't know what it's like. The Global Games were my chance to be remembered. If I can skate my routine cleanly, make it perfect, I can prove myself to the world! But it's hard. The ice is so unforgiving and I'm out here alone." She said. "Well, what if you weren't alone? How about pairs skating?
