Plagued Thoughts

        After exploring Grape House, you discussed your findings, and Chiaki came to the conclusion that Grape House and Strawberry House were the same building. She even conducted a small experience, proving her point. Now, you were all back in Strawberry House when Nagito brought up sleeping arrangements.

"Each house has five guestrooms, so we should first decide who's going to stay in which house," he said.

"Hmmm... why don't we make things simple and split them between the boys and the girls?" Chiaki suggested.

"Yes, let us do that!" Sonia followed.

"That's a bummer, but... Well, I guess it makes sense..." Kazuichi huffed.

"Then ladies first..." Gundham said, giving a subtle glance in your direction, "Now then, kittens! Choose which house you would like!"

"Let's just choose Grape House. Staring at a red room is just gonna strain my eyes," Chiaki said.

"I second that! The green walls of Grape House make me feel more at home," you added.

"Then the men shall have Strawberry House! Strawberry men are known for passion!" Nekomaru said.

"Also... each house had guestrooms of varying quality, right?" Nagito said.

"Wasn't it two Deluxe Rooms, one Standard Room, and two Crummy Rooms?" Fuyuhiko asked.

"And we need to decide those next, huh?" Kazuichi said, "But there are only five rooms in each house, right? And there are five girls, so all of the rooms will be taken..."

"Y/N-nee and I will share a room," Hiyoko said quickly, narrowing her eyes at Kazuichi.

"Then that means... there's only one appropriate way to settle this!" Nekomaru exclaimed.

"Appropriate way...?" Hajime repeated.

"Rock Paper Scissors, of course!"

The boys engaged in a Rock Paper Scissors battle. They made it seem more serious than it actually was, the tension in the air becoming rather heavy. Meanwhile, you and the girls discussed what rooms you were staying in.

Sonia and Chiaki got the Deluxe Room, Akane wanted one of the Crummy Rooms, and you and Hiyoko got the Standard Room. You looked over at the boys when you finished talking.

"Ah, sorry. I ended up winning so easily," Nagito said, coming out victorious, though it made sense since he was the Ultimate Lucky Student.

"So I take second place... That's fine. I was getting bored of always being on top," Gundham said, but that probably wasn't true.

"It's decided! You two will get a Deluxe Room! Now then, regarding the third winner..." Nekomaru said, "Gaaaahaha! It's meeeeeeeeee! I will be resting in the Standard Room!"

"Me and Kazuichi are next..." Fuyuhiko said.

"Tch, so I get a Crummy Room, huh... Well, it's better than rooming with someone," Kazuichi said.

"That's unfortunate, Hajime... You can rest in the lounge, but try not to catch a cold," Nagito said.

"Um... There are five of us girls, but Hiyoko's sleeping with me, so you can take the extra room, Hajime. It's a Crummy Romm, but it's better than sleeping in the lounge," you said.

Hajime looked at you, a slight blush on his face as he mustered a small 'thank you.'

"Ahhh~ You're so sweet, Y/N! Just as I'd expect from the Ultimate Florist!" Nagito said.

"I don't think it has anything to do with being an Ultimate, but thanks...?"

"Y-You can't do that!" Kazuichi exclaimed, catching you off guard.

"H-Huh...?! But why not?"

"I-I mean... it's dangerous. Hajime might be the traitor, you know...?"

"Kazuichi... Why would you think that? If you're really pressed about that, then I'm surprised that you don't suspect me... Those pictures... N-No, that's not the point! The point is, we haven't suspected Hajime at all during our entire duration on Jabberwock Island, and we don't intend to start now." Kazuichi looked down in embarrassment while Nagito and Hajime looked at you in admiration. "Ah, was I too harsh? I'm so sorry!"

"Hehe! No, no, you're so nice,
Y/N-nee!" Hiyoko giggled, nuzzling up to you, "He had it coming! He's nothing but a useless prick!"

"No, Hiyoko, don't say that... Why don't we all just call it a day? We can meet back up tomorrow."

Everyone unanimously agreed, and you went your separate ways. You, the other girls, and Hajime went into the elevator that took you to Grape House.

You went to your respective rooms. Just as you expected, the Standard Room was all green, but besides that, it wasn't that bad. You and Hiyoko changed into your pajamas and got into bed, Hiyoko cuddling up to you.

You pat her head absent-mindedly as you thought about everything that happened today. What plagued your mind the most was those pictures of you... Why were you at Hope's Peak Academy? And why did it say that you died? You decided to put those thoughts to rest for now and tried to get to sleep.

A/N: Okay, I have a few things to say. 1: I'm starting to run out of memes. 2: I feel like there's not enough yandere action like there was with my kny books. And 3: I find it funny how first there was Rui, then there was Chihiro, and now there's Hiyoko. I feel like it's just going to be an endless cycle. That's all. (P.S. Should I get into journalism?)
