... First Byakuya... and now... Teruteru...?

Long story short, Nagito was planning on getting the killing game going by killing Byakuya, but Teruteru found out about that plan and tried to kill Nagito. In the end, Teruteru killed Byakuya and got executed after the class trial.

The scene horrified you to the point when you got back to your cottage, you didn't leave. You didn't even leave in the morning to get breakfast from the restaurant. You were too scared...

As you laid in bed, contemplating your life choices, you heard a knock at the door. You froze and started to overthink.

"Um... Y/N-chan...? Are you in there...?" Said a voice from the other side of the door. It sounded like Kazuichi... "Hey... if you can hear me, can you say something...? After Byakuya and Teruteru died, everyone's been on edge, and you haven't shown up yet, so... yeah... Are you alright...?"

"... Y-Yeah, I'm fine..." You replied quietly.

Kazuichi let out a sigh of relief before speaking again.

"Can I come in? I know you're scared, but I just want to make sure you're okay."

You looked at the door warily. You didn't want to open the door, but then again, you trusted Kazuichi. So, you got up and hesitantly opened the door.

He was standing there, a sheepish smile on his face. He was going to say something when you suddenly hugged him.

"... I wanna go home..." You uttered in a shaky voice, "Why us...? Why do we have to go through this...? What did we do to deserve this...?" Kazuichi patted your back as he closed the door behind him. He led you back to your bed and sat down, where he comforted you until you stopped crying. "... I'm sorry... That was embarrassing..." You said as you dried your eyes.

"No, no, it's fine. I completely understand. ... Hey, a new island opened up. Why don't we go get some breakfast and then explore it."

You sniffled and nodded.

"Yeah... okay..."

He helped you up, and the both of you made your ways to the restaurant.

You trusted him... Even if he was rough around the edges, you felt like he was someone that you could rely on.

Kazuichi, on the other hand, was starting to feel strange. His crush on you was growing into something more... Was it love... or was it obsession?
