Jisu's POV

I woke up around 4:30, which is my usual time. I completed my morning routine and went downstairs to find Jia already awake, sipping coffee. We both prepared breakfast, woke up the others, and got ready for work. As usual, Misoo dropped me off and then left for her agency.

I entered my office, went to my cabin, and started preparing for an interview with someone named Felix. I didn’t know much about him, but the email I received yesterday said he’s one of Korea’s biggest businessmen, so I began to get ready for the meeting.

After a while, I heard a knock on my door. I called out, "Come in," and looked up to see my manager. I immediately stood and bowed, as he’s my senior, though I don’t particularly like him—he’s always so demanding.

There was someone behind him who stepped forward, and to my surprise, it was that flirt, Jimin. I was confused as to why he was here.

“Jisu, this is our new staff member, Park Jimin. He holds the same position as you, and you’ll be working together from now on. He’ll also be sharing your cabin,” my manager said. I bowed to both of them, and with that, my manager left.

“Hello, baby,” Jimin greeted with his usual flirtatious tone. I just rolled my eyes.

"So, what should I work on first?" he asked. I handed him the questions I’d been preparing. “I have an interview to conduct today. Do you know who Felix is? I just know he’s one of the top businessmen in Korea,” I explained.

He glanced over the questions and replied, “These questions look good. Let’s finish them and head out for the interview.” I nodded, and we got to work.

By three in the afternoon, we had completed the questions and some other tasks. It was time for the interview. “Let’s take a cab; I didn’t bring my car,” I told him.

“Let’s go in mine,” he suggested.

I agreed, thinking it was better than a cab. I waited outside the agency, expecting a car, but was shocked when he pulled up on a motorbike.

“Are we going on a bike?” I asked.

“Yes, hop on,” he said.

“I’ll just take a cab,” I replied, hesitant about riding with him.

“Just get on, sweetheart,” he said with a smirk.

“Can you please stop calling me that?” I replied, annoyed.

“If I stop calling you that, will you ride the bike?” he asked.

“Fine, but you have to stop calling me that,” I agreed reluctantly.

“Alright, hop on.”

I got on the bike, putting my bag between us, and he took off. The ride wasn’t too long—about twenty minutes.

“I’ll ask the questions; just assist me, okay?” I instructed him as the senior.

He nodded, and after ringing the bell, someone opened the door, likely Felix’s staff. We were led into a room that looked like an office.

After a few moments, a handsome man entered, dressed in a suit, accompanied by two others who also wore suits. One seemed to be his secretary, though there was something odd about him. I glanced over at Jimin and noticed he and Felix were locked in an intense stare, like they knew each other, almost like a staring competition. Clearing my throat, I broke their gaze.

“Hello, I’m Jisu from PARK Agency, here to conduct your interview. This is my colleague,” I introduced us.

“He’s your colleague?” Felix asked with a hint of scorn.

“Yeah, do you know him?” I asked, confused.

“Forget it. Let’s start the interview,” he replied, and we got started. I asked the prepared questions, but Jimin kept interrupting with personal questions, which was unprofessional and confusing.

At one point, Jimin asked Felix about his girlfriend, to which Felix responded that she was with us. Jimin shot me a strange look, which was unsettling.

We somehow finished the interview. “I told you I’d ask the questions—why did you ask those personal ones? It was so unprofessional of you,” I scolded him, irritated.

“I just asked what I wanted to know,” he said nonchalantly.

“Don’t give me that look, duckling,” I teased.

“What did you just call me? And why am I a duckling?” he asked dramatically.

“Because you’re short,” I teased further.

His expression turned dark, and he got on his bike, saying, “Get on.” I complied, putting my bag between us once again.

As it was already past office hours, I was headed home, which would usually take forty-five minutes. But he was going so fast that I was terrified, with tears streaming from the wind. Miraculously, we made it home in twenty minutes.

I got off the bike, thanking the universe I was alive—I’d thought I was going to die. He just said, “I’m going,” and sped off as I headed inside, my legs still shaking.

Daisy's POV

I woke up, did my usual morning routine, and got ready for work. Misoo unnie dropped me off at the agency as usual. Yesterday was full of surprises. When I entered the office, everyone was in a rush, so I asked a colleague what was going on.

“What’s happening? Why is everyone in such a hurry?” I asked.

“You don’t know?” she asked, surprised.

“No, what is it?” I replied.

“The CEO is visiting today. He comes once a year, so it’s a big deal. You wouldn’t know since you just joined three months ago,” she explained quickly.

“Oh no, my work isn’t finished yet!” I said, panicking.

“Don’t worry. You’re new, so you won’t have to show a report, but he will want to meet you,” she reassured me before rushing off.

I felt a bit relieved since I didn’t have to present, but I was nervous about meeting the CEO. I continued with my work until a colleague announced that the CEO had arrived and wanted to meet the new employees. I joined the other new staff members, feeling nervous.

I knocked on his door, and we heard a “Come in” from inside. When we entered, I was shocked to see the man I’d bumped into yesterday at the library. I’m sure he’d be surprised to see me as well.

“Hello, I’m Jeon Jungkook, the CEO of JEON Agency," he introduced himself.
