part 42

Jungkook's eyes widened with fear, a glimmer of denial flickering within them. Yet, Lucy exuded an unwavering determination. As Anastasia observed their intense gaze, a sense of unease washed over her. Lucy leaned in closer, locking eyes with her intently.

" don't worry Anastasia. It won't really hurt you ! You won't bleed as I have already promised!"

Jungkook grabbed a bucket and hung it on the wall with a rope. As water trickled drop by drop, Anastasia recognized the method, the Chinese torture technique. It appeared harmless, but she knew better. Jungkook and Lucy positioned her in a chair, securing her head in a metal frame to restrict movement. Despite her resistance, Anastasia found herself unable to escape. The relentless water droplet fell directly onto her head, and after five agonizing minutes, she couldn't help but scream.

Lucy felt uneasy at her loud scream and made a wierd face. Then looked at Jungkook who was already looking at Lucy with confusion.

" Doesn't this method atleast require like an hour to start working ?"

Lucy :" I had similar thoughts !"

Anastasia:"why are you doing this to me ? "

Lucy took a deep breath before she started explaining that she needed that God damn information.

Anastasia:" but I am loyal !"

Lucy :" then stay loyal !"

Lucy acted like she didn't care, signaling Jungkook with her eyes to leave the torture room. Jungkook quickly followed her, realizing that she was emanating alpha female energy. Surprisingly, he didn't feel suppressed; instead, he felt a sense of pride towards her.

As they walked back to the penthouse, Jungkook abruptly stopped Lucy, gripping her shoulders. Lucy's eyes widened with surprise, and she looked at him with questioning puppy eyes.

Jungkook:" is she really going to tell us ? Should we just use the normal torture ways ?"

Lucy :" I promised that she won't bleed and I know Anastasia is a tough one she won't give up unless I use this Chinese method. You saw the fear in her eyes ? She'll give in I know she will !"

Melissa was sitting on the same spot she loved Soo much. The roof ,beneath the shining stars. She took a deep breath and smiled as the cool breeze touched her delicate face. Then she looked at the moon and started talking to herself. This was her favorite thing to do. Looking at the moon ,talking to herself about what was going on in her own life.

" I don't know what's happening. Things seem wierd. Life seems wierd. My boring life suddenly has Soo many twists. I was going to become a doctor and then I couldn't because of what happened. I entered into the world of criminals. And I don't know if I'll ever find out my parents my siblings or not ? I miss them Soo much......( She took a dramatic pause ,tears rolling in her eyes ) .. but this situation is worse I think. !" She sadly chuckled to herself. 
" because I ....I ..Melissa am in a middle of something I can't decide. I don't know if I need to forget them or if I should wait for them. Which is worse ? Waiting or forgetting.  At the end of this I'll find my answer. If I know they are dead I will mourn on their deaths. My life won't be like it used to be but still it will be better than what it is right now.  And what could be better than reuniting with them. "

She again took a pause. Her face showing deep emotions as if something was ripping her heart. She mercilessly wiped her tears then looked at the moon again. Maintaining eye contact with the invisible eyes of moon ,she again stated to herself.

" and taehyung! What about him ? He proposed me ! In the middle of all this ,a man ,he proposed me ! Should I accept him or should I not ? I don't know! I have severe trust issues. I know whenever I'll love a man he'll be the first and last for me. I'll fall hard for him I know! And if that man he betrays me I'll be left with nothing absolutely nothing ! And I don't want that ....I..."

Her words were interrupted by someone approaching her from behind. She turned her face to see Henley who was approaching her. Henley sat with her and looked at Melissa's swollen eyes.

Henley :" what are you worried about ?"

Melissa :" is there something to not worry about ?"

Henley:" you rejected taehyung?"

Melissa looked at Henley with sudden surprise. Why was she talking about taehyung.

Then with a guilty face she again started to look at her first love, the moon.

" kind of ! Not exactly rejection ! I am just confused Henley. In this situation,is it right for me to start my love life ? And it's not even about that,he is nice and sweet but I have severe trust issues. I don't trust him enough....I don't know!".

Henley :" take your time Melissa ! But I feel like taehyung is a perfect guy. He'll love you forever and ever. "

Melissa :" he is a criminal. Not a really bad one but he still is. He deals with drugs and other things. He is still indirectly harming humans !"

Henley :" I feel like he'll leave all that !"

Melissa :" it's just a feeling Henley we are not sure about that are we ?"

Melissa stood up immediately ,lending a hand to Henley

:" it's late .let's go sleep !"

Henley looked at Melissa's hand and then said in a warming way.

:" no ! You go ! Sleep ! I'll come when I feel sleepy !'

Melissa smiled back and went downstairs. After about 15 minutes ,Scarlett came there. Why was everyone Soo active today ?

Scarlett :" Henley ! Can I talk to you about something?"

Henley nodded her head in a welcoming way. Scarlett was still standing so Henley also stood up.

Scarlett made a really happy face but then the happiness from her face was wiped away. Henley closely examined her facial expressions.

Scarlett:" love is painful Henley ! "

And even though henley was supportive she rolled her eyes a little. Scarlett was being obsessed with suga. She wasn't even caring about her self respect.

Scarlett:" he keeps rejecting me Henley ! I did all that I could for him but he keeps rejecting me ! I can't take rejection anymore. Why doesn't he love me. Am I not beautiful?"

Henley now felt sad for her, she grabbed her face with both of her hands and made her force an eye contact with Henley.

:" you are one of the most beautiful girls I know Scarlett ! But don't waste yourself for that suga. He doesn't give me good vibes he might even harm you Scarlett. You definitely deserve way better than that cold human. !'

Scarlett:" but I love him !"

Henley :" if it's true love then wait patiently. He might fall for you !"

Henley's heart raced as Scarlett transformed right before her eyes, pulling her hand away and behaving like a little kid. She angrily stomped away, showing she wouldn't back down. After about 20 minutes, Henley suddenly realized the time on her phone—it was past 2 am! And Scarlett, well, she was still acting like a child. She might have gone to Suga's room again! Henley worried about her safety.what if he harms her ?

With fear gripping her heart, Henley hurried downstairs, her eyes filled with increasing worry. Determined to protect her friends, she made her way straight to Suga's room, forgetting to knock as panic took over. But what she saw inside left her even more anxious—a sight filled with a mix of terror, fear, and danger.

The sight that held all kinds of emotions in it.  Terror ,fear ,and danger. ........
