As Eun Woo hurriedly opened his hands and feet, he kept glancing back at the door, terrified that his devilish brother might attack him. He was frightened—no, horrified—but still, he was determined to save Melissa. It was the only time in his life that he had ever been truly brave. Melissa stared at him mindlessly, her lips slightly parted in confusion. To her, the world had halted, everything around her slowed as she tried to organize her thoughts. They were polar opposites: in that moment, she was the calm, cold wave of an ocean, while he was the dancing flame of a forest fire. He kept saying things to her, insisting that everything had started because of him, exclaiming that he was sorry. She barely understood half of it, and the rest glided past her brain like an arrow. Nothing made sense—until the screeching sound of a gunshot pierced through her blurred and chaotic mind, dragging her back to her senses. Her vision cleared, and her eyes fixed on Eun Woo. They were free, both of them, but before they could escape, his grim reaper had fired a shot of despair and pain through his abdomen. The bullet pierced through his skin and muscles, finally lodging into his liver and damaging a part of his lung. Blood gushed out of his abdomen as Melissa's eyes widened—everything halted for a moment, leaving only the look of disbelief in both of them.

At Adien's place, blood dripped onto the beige carpet, tainting Henley's heart with grief and pain. She had always read about feeling another person's pain and wondered how it was possible. How could one body be hurt and another feel the pain? Today, she was experiencing it firsthand and had finally found the answer—it was possible only when the souls of the two bodies had merged together for eternity. She gasped, both in pain and disbelief, as the wine-red blood of her beloved stained the rug. Her eyes traveled from his body to his arm. The bullet had passed close to his shoulder, taking a piece of his flesh and skin with it. The storm had passed, and now it was time for the aftermath. Suga's eyes traveled to Henley as he immediately jumped to her side behind the wall. Namjoon had finally reached Scarlett, who was still on the carpet behind the sofa, shock in her eyes as she stared at Suga's reflection. His painful grunt echoed, causing her even more pain. He was hurt because of her, because she had been careless enough not to see the bullet coming. Namjoon helped her up, and while crouching and staying undercover, he shielded her with his body. Henley grabbed Suga's arm as tears escaped her eyes. His eyes fixed on her face, the expressions of pain leaving as he calmed down. Her lips were trembling, and so was her hand. She advanced her hand toward his still-bleeding shoulder. He was injured, and though such injuries were normal for him, it felt to her as if he had been cut with a blunt knife. Time slowed as she tried to calm herself down, but she couldn't—how could she? And then, panic embraced her like a cloud, dispersing her stability and senses. She started sobbing as she abruptly took the scarf around her neck off and tied it around Suga's arm, speaking with a shivering voice:

"Enough! Let's go back... I can't... you go back... I'll save everyone... take everyone back... I'll—"

She had lost it, sobbing and panicking. Suga took a deep breath and held her by her shoulders, making her halt for a moment as she focused on his words.

"Henley! Get it together, my love. Now is not the time for all of this. I am okay! Okay? I am fine! This is nothing. We have to rescue your families. Think of them, huh? And once we get back, I'll let you take care of me, okay? We'll go on a road trip, how about that?"

His fingers traveled toward her eyes as he gently wiped her tears. The sound of gunshots in the background broke their trance as Suga made eye contact with Namjoon and signaled him to move further back into cover. His eyes then traveled to Jimin, and he signaled him with hand movements to start firing from his side. Jimin nodded and took out his sniper, beginning to fire. The positive outcome of this was that the fire from their side stopped for a few minutes. Suga took a glance at the position of every member, his mind quickly forming an effective plan as he started speaking:
