Melissa looked at Adien with fear, not for herself but for Taehyung. A glance at the lust shining in Adien's eyes, the next glance at her love tied up, nodding his head while panting, and the third at Eun Woo with a face as pale as snow standing with one hand on the door handle and the other on the door frame, panting while looking at his demon brother about to swallow the only thing he had ever cherished in his life. Hatred arose in her eyes for Eun Woo. None of this would have happened if only she hadn't been friends with Eun Woo. Cursing the day she joined hands with the devil wearing the angel's outfit named Eun Woo, she closed her eyes shut, as if closing them would stop all of this. At least it would block the vision of hers witnessing Taehyung crying; his eyes were the last she had ever wanted to witness tears in.

A loud sob stopped Adien's finger right before it made contact with Melissa's soft skin, a sob painful and loud enough to send shivers down her spine. Abruptly opening her eyes, she looked at Eun Woo.

At Adien's place...

Jungkook looked back at all of them, a silent atmosphere suddenly embracing the entire room. The cozy environment that had formed a few moments ago vanished as if it had never existed. Something about this silence was off, the kind of silence we witness before a loud storm is about to destroy the surroundings of our beings. And then boom, the silence broke as the storm had finally reached: the breaking of glass, the shards of it colliding with the ground as they created loud echoes, all of them ducking. Suga's eyes expanded with the sudden bang as he swiftly held Henley by her arm and pushed her behind the wall. It was not just the glass window breaking; it was the damp sound of a gunshot that had shocked him. A gunshot? They were under attack but they weren't supposed to be. How did Adien become aware of them? How? His mind worked sharply as he saw Scarlett just standing there, shock and fear on her face as his eyes traveled from her to the broken window. His sharp eyes met the moonlight as he realized everyone was under cover except her. His eyes expanded with fear as he realized what was about to come next. Boom! Another gunshot! And chaotic screams and shouts!

At the warehouse...

Melissa's eyes met Eun Woo's, who fell on his knees making an audible sound of his collision with the floor. He started sobbing like a little kid, like a little kid who had been told that his mother was a monster, a monster who had hated him from the moment he was born, a little kid who was shown how his father didn't even care about his existence, a little kid who had witnessed his only hope, his brother, turning into a psychotic demon, and the little kid who had sold his only love to his satanic brother. Adien paused, and so did Taehyung. Shock on the faces of all of them as they with parted lips stared at Eun Woo's messed-up existence.

Eun Woo finally spoke, still sobbing, tears embracing his entire face as the vein on his forehead started to feel like it would burst.

"I... am... sorry... Melissa! I am so sorry... Adien! I know you would never grant me this wish but please, would you? Melissa is my life... she is my life. I can't live with the fact that I sold her to you myself!"

Adien's face darkened with confusion as he said,

"You sold her? You didn't... you never knew that she was Taehyung's girl!"

Eun Woo ignored everything, still breaking apart as the tears from his eyes continued. He was blind, he was deaf to all at the moment. He couldn't see anything except the chaos of his tears blurring his vision. He couldn't hear anything except the voice of guilt in his heart.

"I am sorry, Melissa. I truly loved you. I have been a coward. This is all my fault! Don't blame yourself at all. I was at fault from the beginning. None of this would have happened... ahhh... none of this would have happened if only I hadn't told Adien about your family!"
