Another gunshot screeching through the chaos as muffled gasps and audible shouts arose, adding to the chaotic environment. Blood drops fell on the ground as fear danced in everyone's eyes. The burgundy shade of blood falling in slow motion as everyone stared at it staining the beige carpet of the lounge.

Five minutes ago...
As Suga stared outside the window, he noticed the moonlight and the forest behind it. Someone was there—not just someone—many were there! And they had guns! His sharp eyes examined the room like an eagle. Everyone was in cover except Scarlet. She was standing right in front of the broken window and was probably on target right now. Her shivering self was hesitating as if unaware of what had just happened. She was scared! His eyes further roamed as he noticed Namjoon at the other end of the lounge almost running towards her. The time was slow as he analyzed every single detail within milliseconds. Namjoon was not going to make it. Without giving it a thought, he jumped right over her, pushing her existence with full force as she fell behind the sofa. Time slowed once again as he was standing there under the light, moon rays hitting his face creating a glow, and boom—the gun was fired. The bullet approached him like a tornado—a tornado that created chaos and destruction within the heaven of Henley's world. Had he forgotten that now his hell was interconnected with her heaven? The slightest disorder in his hell was going to affect her heaven. He had forgotten! Tears filled her eyes as she placed her hand on her mouth, gasping with disbelief. All of this had taken barely a minute to happen but it felt like an entire century.

At warehouse

As Adien made his guards drag Melissa out of the room that was holding them captive, Taehyung's restlessness kept increasing. How hard was it for him to witness the love of his life suffer like that? But it was totally unbearable for him to be unable to see Melissa in front of him. She was alone in the room next door? What was Adien going to do to her? Tears left his eyes like tiny raindrops as he muffled under the tape that had been put onto his lips by one of the guards. He knew he couldn’t break the ropes tying his hands with just his force. It was a tight knot and he was not a superhuman. Praying with all his might he grunted as he tried his best to break the ropes again, not stopping for even a mere millisecond. He now started panting due to extreme struggle, tiny sweat drops shining on his forehead. His face was wet from either tears or sweat, to the point he had no idea if the liquid wetting his face was more tears or sweat. His existence halted for a minute finally as he stared into the air, the storm in the ocean of his heart suddenly becoming a pool of still water as not even a single wave moved in it, silence embracing his existence—the silence before the storm—before the existence of one's being finally decides to fall apart. His struggle became zero as tears burst out of his honey eyes. Tightly squeezing his eyes, he started nodding his head aggressively in denial as his muffled sobbing echoed both inside his existence and the barren room.

Eun Woo witnessed Melissa being dragged into the room next to the torture chamber. He bowed his head in shame and regret. All of this was happening because of him! Adien passed by him ignoring his existence as if he knew his brother wasn't capable of doing anything at all. The monster inside Adien was aware that Eun Woo was on Melissa's side, but it also knew that Eun Woo was a coward! He would never dare go against Adien. Dialing Michael's number, Adien left the house. He had to deal with the aliens invading his house too. Eun Woo's paused entity stood in the hallway right outside Melissa and Taehyung's rooms. Taking a deep breath, he again indulged in blaming himself for all of this. He could save Melissa, he could! But he wasn’t because terror, who had been his friend since childhood, was embracing him too strongly. But that embrace had now become suffocating.

He stared at the sage green walls reflecting the light of doom in his brown eyes. Taking a deep breath, he murmured to himself,

“This, Eun Woo, you did all of this? Why? Why did you have to do all of this? You wanted to save the castle and live within it. You wanted to lead the monster to the castle's gardens to distract him, but you led the monster right to the castle! Now the castle is going to be destroyed by the monster! And you are standing right in front of it as you wait for the monster to burn the castle, like a forgotten knight! But Eun Woo, will you really exist without the castle? You'll be a loser just like you have always been—an unloved, hated creature.”

Closing his eyes with pain, he whispered those words to himself. As the realization of something hit his mind, he opened his eyes wide with shock. Was he capable of this? Sliding his pale hand into his pocket, he took out a tape recorder. Staring at it, he clenched his fist around it, determination and strength shining on his face as he whispered again,

“I can change that! I can still save the castle. The castle has found its rightful owner! At least I need to save it. That is the bare minimum I can do! Then maybe I won’t be a forgotten, lost creature. Then at least the castle would remember me as a faithful knight!”

Tears glistened as he gathered courage enough to save his castle. Opening the door of the room where Taehyung was captured, he peeked inside. His heart thumped hard in his chest as he took a deep breath. He needed to free him too. Melissa loved him, and he could save her—only he could save her. His eyes scanned the entire room. His view confined to the back of the person who looked like a lost warrior, a defeated entity. His head bowed as now he was silent, not even struggling to free himself. The ropes holding his hands together were tied by the devil himself, with a technique Taehyung couldn't defeat. Blood dripped from his hands due to excess struggle, sweat dripping from his hair falling into his lap as he quietly stared at the drops falling onto his white shirt, spreading the red blood already absorbed into it. He was truly a visual representation of blood, sweat, and tears.

Eun Woo tiptoed into the room and handed him a knife. As the cold handle of the knife made contact with his sweaty, bloody hands, he slightly raised his head. Who was it? Who had handed him a knife? Eun Woo gulped slightly and left the room like he had never been there. Taehyung’s entire body now alert as adrenaline rushed through every cell of his body, announcing, “We still have a chance to save Melissa, to save our soul!” He started breathing heavily as his grunts echoed in the room. Swiftly holding the knife with one of his hands, he started cutting the rope, and only then he realized—the knife—it was blunt! It was fucking blunt! Sharp enough to cut the ropes, but blunt enough to slow him down. It was going to take at least 15 minutes to free himself. More adrenaline ran through his body as he started aggressively moving the knife up and down the rope, he had to free himself. The friction of the rope on his hand scraped the soft skin as more sweat started dripping.

Eun Woo now opened the door next door, the door that led him to his castle—the castle facing him. His eyes met with Melissa's as an emotion of shock emerged in the grey asteroids of her eyes. What was Eun Woo doing there? Eun Woo's eyes expanded slightly as he swiftly entered the room and closed the door behind him. Rushing towards Melissa, he opened the ropes entangling her feet. His hands moved to hers as he untied the ropes. She watched him with utter shock. What exactly was happening? Was he a good person or was he a bad person? Why was he saving her? She sat there while he freed her, his body moving swiftly and so were his lungs and heart. He gasped and slowed down, sitting on his knees by her. He looked right into her eyes and said,

“I am so sorry, Melissa! I am so sorry for every single thing I did. I was so selfish. Sorry for being so selfish, Melissa! You don't have to forgive me. You know what, don't forgive me, resent me forever, but I am truly sorry, and…”

He briefly stopped while still looking right into her eyes, his existence still shivering from fear, still panting from all the exertion. Her lips parted as she listened to him.

The sound of the door opening, the thump of a gunshot, and it ended—his soul.
