As the realization of his blunder struck his mind like lightning ..his eyes bulged out with shock of what his idiotic mind had done !....the spell of silence his mistake had casted in the room was louder than the devils that partied inside Adien's soul ...his smirk slowly faded away as he while looking at his brother slightly tilted his head ....witnessing the fear that emerged in the eyes of his brother because of Adien's head tilt ,fed the hunger of his dark soul ..as if Eunwoo's fear was the appetizer of his eight course meal ...the smirk that had faded evolved on his lips ..this time even deeper ..showcasing the trailer of deep dark hell he planned to throw Melissa and Taehyung in !.....while Melissa in the background now stared at Adien's back and the fear that slowly emerged on Eunwoo's face ..now spreading through his body like plague ... vacuuming his life into the core of his existence as his skin tone went from rosy to pale in seconds ...she couldn't understand ...what had caused such a drastic and dramatic emergence of fear in Eunwoo's being ...if only she could see the deep hellish smirk displayed on Adien's venomous lips!! ...Finally the devil spoke in his raspy creepy voice and she witnessed Eunwoo's entire existence jerking with fear ..little did she know the terror that had appeared on his entity was not for himself but ..but for her!!

Adien :"oh!..so my little brother is not little anymore ..is he?...fell in love ?and that too with this maiden?....this lady who is the life of my nemesis and a mafia boss?..you fell in love with a lady who rules a part of this underworld?...how come that happen?..did you not want to stay far away from me and this world !"

His terror multiplied ...while questions assailed her brain ....so Adien was unaware of Melissa and Eunwoo's friendship ...he had obviously never seen her but had Eunwoo never mentioned that the family he got kidnapped by his brother actually belonged to a friend of his?...doubts again arose in her heart ...was he really involved in all of this or was it all just a twisted fate and drastic misunderstanding ...

Adien after a dramatic pause again spoke in his deep yet somehow shrill voice ..

"so now? ...what will you do my baby brother?..will you beg me?...how will you beg me ?..with your life?..would you let me gouge your eyes out instead of hers?...can you do that?.. I'll make a deal with you then ... I'll wait for Taehyung .... I'll hurt him in some other ways and as for Melissa ..you can give me your eyes .... I won't even touch her ..deal?"

Silence again embraced the entire room as Melissa's eyes expanded with shock and suspense ... Adien looked at his brother with his head still tilted and his snake eyes opened wide apart as if he knew ..he already knew the answer to the question!!..the lamp hanging above their head moved slightly because of the air creating an even curious environment ... Eunwoo looked at his brother with his lips entrapped between the cage of his teeth ..he bit!! ...he bit nervously until tiny drops of blood appeared on those sealed lips of his ... maintaining the eye contact as if in a dilemma...his heart fought with his brain ....he loved her!! ..he was afraid of loosing her !!..but ...the darn thing in his heart that had another uninvited friend of his ..the damn selfishness that had this cowardness with itself inside his heart ...he couldn't !..no matter how hard he tried ..he was afraid !..he was a coward !!...the eyes that had challenged his devilish brother ..those eyes bowed in front of those snake eyes ...a huge grin appeared on the poisonous lips of Adien as he now said while chuckling ..

"good choice !..my dear brother !...now stand there quietly or you are allowed to leave !"

Melissa looked at him again with disappointment ..its not that she had wanted Eunwoo to sacrifice his being for the wellness of her being .. it's that she knew that if it was Taehyung in his place ..he wouldn't even have thought for a second !..eyes?that was nothing!..he would have jumped in fire and smile while looking at her until the grim reaper would drag his soul out of his existence! But would his soul really be occupying his existence?..no!!.. he'll let his body burn with a smile knowing that his soul is within her entity .....and she would have done the same because that was how love is !...maybe Eunwoo had a crush on her or something similar to that ...but she knew it was not love ...!..

It couldn't be love ..love doesn't require sacrifice ....sacrifice requires love ...he couldn't sacrifice because he lacked love !...she was relieved anyways ...her heart sculpted out of small pieces of fragile glass couldn't even bear a single stroke of pain ...and that included any one ..whether it be her friends ...her cousins . ... Taehyung or an ex- friend like Eunwoo ...

Adien's entire attention now diverted towards her eyes as her eyes were inviolable at the moment ....the drastic change of emotions was expressing itself in the universe of her eyes in a way that was unavoidable...

He stared into her eyes as she glared into his soul with her eyebrows twitching ...a slight smirk appeared on his lips as his eyes mocked her existence ...he hissed in his deep shrill voice ..

" You want to know what my mind is being assailed with right now ?"

Pausing for a moment without breaking eye contact with her ,he traced his thumb around her jawline ....her being neither twitched nor did fear or any other kind of emotion arose in her eyes ...just pure glare of hatred and the desire to murder him there and then ...until he harassed her soul with his following words ..

" My mind is being assailed with thoughts of how to harm him.,your Taehyung ...it's being assailed by methods of torture beyond my ken ...how would I hurt him ?"

As soon as that word ...the word that held her heart within it's syllables... Taehyung!!..it stroke against her eardrums ..shiver of fear and pain travelled throughout her body ...her gaze softening as tiny tears started floating in the pool of her eyes ...he was going to harm Taehyung through her and her through Taehyung!...
