Tossakan quickly drove to the hospital Oonjai was staying.
"SHIT!! Why is the traffic so bad?!!"
The tall, burly man cursed in frustration at the bad traffic jam he was in. The hospital Klairak was admitted to was near his penthouse, but Oonjai's hospital was a distance away. Though the two places were not that far apart, the horrible traffic had wasted no less than an hour of his time.
He was so distraught that he could not calm himself down in any way. The fact that Oonjai intended to go with Ms. Rinruedee had sent him an indirect message that the slighter man had already made some kind of decision. He could only hope that the things he would say or explain would be understood by the other man. He could only hope that it was not too late....
Tossakan opened the door the minute he reached Oonjai's room.
"Mr. Tossakan, what happened? Why won't your men let Oonjai go back with me?"
Rinruedee asked the minute she saw the Boss of all the men in black lining up in front of the room.
"May I please talk to Oonjai for a bit?"
Tossakan asked politely, though the stress was more than palpable in the air. Rinruedee followed the gaze of the tall, burly man with his long hair and found that he had kept his eyes on the spot where her son was standing for the entirety of their conversation. The young woman began to detect something, but she could not quite say it, so she could only do as she was requested.
"Oonjai...." Tossakan called his name, but before he could say anything else, the sweet voice responded rather flatly,
"That Mr. Tossakan had saved Klairak's life...I would consider my debt completely paid. Between us, there's nothing we owe each other anymore." The cold, distant words strangled Tossakan's heart.
"Our agreement has come to an end...I'll return to be with my mother."
Oonjai turned his back, ready to walk away from the room, but before he could even reach the threshold, strong arms kept him from leaving.
"Oonjai, please listen to me. You're angry I didn't stay to look after you, right? I'm sorry. Yesterday I had to...."
"Mr. Tossakan, there's no need to apologize. It has nothing to do with me...."
"I have to go take care of the little dough! Right now, the little dough is at a hospital."
"Klairak! At...at the hospital?!"
Oonjai looked up and locked eyes with the other man in panic.
What's wrong with Klairak?!
What happened to his little brother?!
Or...was he captured like he was?!
Horrible images were conjured in his mind. Oonjai felt his face drained of all colors as he clung to Tossakan's arm and asked in dread.
"Khun! What's wrong with Klairak?!"
"Klairak was sick with the flu, but he's better now...."
"Klairak was only just sick...better now...." Oonjai faintly mumbled like he was trying to console himself.
At least his brother was not hurt or kidnapped like he was worried about. The slighter man slowly breathed in to calm down his nerves, but his alarm just moments prior also served as a reminder of a feeling hidden in his heart.
...When did Klairak get sick? Why wouldn't the man in front of him inform him of what was going on? The pain of feeling like an afterthought rushed at him until the slighter man had to turn around with the intention of leaving the spot, but he was held in an embrace with great speed.
